If not then who will pay? If it is the council that will cover the shortfall then this presumably will come out of taxpayers money.

The council is bearing the full risk (£4.2m) of Hull KR and its "partners", Hull Training and "a business support provider" defaulting.

Yes, the only difference being that Camelot don't want their money back a few years down the line.

i honestly thought he was rovers, he stated at our annual company meeting that he couldnt care less about west hull which didnt go down well with about half of the audience who reside in west hull. because our company is in bandit country he wrongly assumed we were all from round there.

| If they do sell then my preferred option would be for the club to demand a wedge from the council to give our agreement to the sale (I believe they need it) then get the council to apply for us some grants and get us one of these cheap loans and act as guarantor. Hopefully should enable us to get enough together to build our own stadium. The figures I've seen indicate that £1.6m is costing rovers £50k a year for 40 years. If we're currently paying £500k a year then we could presumably borrow £16m on similar terms. Add in some grants and cash from the KC sale and we have £25m for a new stadium and the job's a good un (or not as it will never happen )

| I honestly don't think even £25M would be enough to get us a Saints like stadium, they managed to sell their land, essentially accquire free land & have a huge tesco partly fund the project too.
Don't forget on top of the hypothetical £500k per year loan payback we will have ALL the running costs of a new stadium, how much do you think that will cost on top of that each year.
Of course some of this would be offset by profit from food & beverage sales and profit from 'other' events (though would be limited due to the appeal of the KC in any case!). I'd be surprised if any profit would be close to half a whole years costs.
If there's a downturn or something goes majorly awry then it's the club that would have to sort it, as it stands the cntract we have is really the best thing for us & a reason we have had a period of stability financially.
Also what about the bricks laid at the KC, the monuments etc.
Funding another stadium within the city boundary is the least viable & wanted option in my honest opinion, the club should do absolutely everything within its power to stay put & to retain the same contract terms.

It was purely hypothetical although I do believe it could be viable though won't happen.
My preferred option is that the council don't sell the KC but I believe that they will at some point

Union leaders are, largely, worse than politicians, at least some politicians have a grasp on reality.
You only need look at the pathetic Police conference yesterday, and these people are meant to be enforcing the law.
