I think theres a lot of over reaction going on here. We all know we're a basket case of a club, we all know we're struggling to sign decent players and we've already got plenty of youth at the club.already, what we needed was experience and we've signed it. I think we'll be around 8th next year with this team which will be an Improvement - I don't want to do a Dan Tomlinsonesque roll call of everyone we've signed but there's some decent players in there and don't forget we've got a new coach who's big on fitness coming in, a better backroom, better training facilities. We will 100% be better than this year imo

He’s a big name, fans fave and a Canberra legend. 35, but still playing every week, scoring tries and kicking goals. Canberra offered one year, Leeds two. He’s surely good enough for us?!

Rapana would be huge for the development of Moy, Martin, Barron.
Still performing well at the top level. Age is obviously a concern but he's about as big a name as we could possibly hope to sign.
We really need a top centre and not sure if he has ever played there though. This would look to me like Walker is leaving as rumoured and Rapana to full back with Moy as cover. Hardaker and Chamberlain centres with Westerman trying to breakthrough and also potentially Litten targeting a centre spot rather than full back.

Career wise he has played the vast majority of his games on the wing but this season has played more often at full back.

I agree surely he'll play there and if he does Walker must be on his way.

We still need a centre.

Rapana a decent signing and still playing well in top league so you can’t argue with that (age maybe an issue, but small) and beating Leeds to anything is always fun.

Can’t believe you’re going with them 2 in centres though. Not sure on Opacic plans but surely make a play for him, he’s better then hardaker and chamberlain

Keep everyone on the pitch and I can see you 6-8, starting 17 is vastly improved on the rough basis of what I think it would be

Patience probably needed for 2 or 3 cycles, but understand why it could be thin on the ground after recent seasons. You'll get there

Forget his age he will be one of the best players in SL, very fit and robust.

Just not sure where he plays, mainly a winger or FB, so maybe depends on what happens with Walker, I'd personally play him , but suspect he will play FB with Walker going, leaving us short in the centre.

Adding to the overwhelming sense of disappointment with the recruitment so far the optics of signing a 35yr old winger on a 2 year deal doesn't look good. However from what I've read Canberra fans love him and want him to stay for another year.

We're all quotad up now so no Opacic. He's moving back home to Q cup. Must be family reasons he's going back as he'd surely pick up another SL team

Very good player is Rapana, ultimate competitor and will hopefully rub off on the squad, especially the young backs.

No doubting we have a better squad from Feb 2024 but just not as good as we’d hoped for, especially at half back.

Hopefully with a proper coaching set up and conditioning staff we can start to climb up the league and get some pride back in the club.

Could definitely player centre here, Nene McDonald was a winger in the NRL but made the transition to .

Been brilliant this year. never played less than 19 games in a season, big and strong, makes breaks and loads of meters.

The fact he was offered another NRL contract shows how well he is players.

No doubting his ability, but is he the right position.
