On Fielden, good player on his day just seems very prone to making a howler. Think he'll be still want paying more than his worth due to his past reputation. Maybe a fresh start at Hull is what he needs to reignite his career which seems to have been on a downward spiral since signing for the pies.

If we do sign him I think we'll have the following playesr over 30:

fitz - 33
long - 34
radford - 31
manu - 30
dowes - 30
berrigan - 32
fielden - 32?

So the bulk of the pack will be at the wrong end of their career, not great for summer rugby

As good a player as Fielden once was he is now a shadow of that and for me would be a poor signing. We need to be signing more players who are reaching their prime or in it not well past it. Would be disappointed by his signing if i'm honest, cant see him being that cheap either.

Too old imo not good enough and never forgiven him for knocking ten bells out of Jason Smith a few years back
