In that time iv experienced great times, going unbeaten in the late 70's, the dizzy heights of the early-mid 80's, great players, Sterling, knocker, crane, skerret, stone to name but a few,also saw some good coaches Bunting, Smith, and then came the not so good times, the len casey era, peter walsh, but in all that time my support hadnt wavered, iv been stood on Bunkers Hill, with a crowd of 3000, just hoping the opposition wouldnt put more than 10 past us, but, i could deal with the bad then, because as a club we had nothing on the pitch and we had f*ck all off the pitch, but the players TRIED, and gave there all, and the supporters that was there, realised this, and got behing the team.
Now we have everything to sucseed, great fan base, great stadium, merchandise sales the best theres been, and on the pitch?? no desire, no commitment, no effort, theres no positives, this is what hurts me, this club has the nucleous to be great, but due to poor/cheap options, there robbing the supporter, im just average joe, with a family to feed, but still buy our passes year after year, but the away games are now not worth the effort/money, but im no less of a fan, than the one that goes to the end of the world for them, and for others to question others that has made a decision, i find insulting, but obviously im a part time supporter, i can live with that!!!'"
A very good post. But a couple of points. I have seen worse in terms of effort than what we have now. To claim we always tried in the days of the 3000 crowds is an exaggeration. I'm not saying you're a better or worse fan than ones that went tonight, what I am saying is that some people take some kind of warped pride in not going and witholding their support, like it earns them some sort of credibility. I don't understand that standpoint, which is different to yours, I think. | | |

| Went to the game and paid for my sins, thought we were rubbish first half but we played better second half, but yet again left ourselves with too much too do. Dowies looked injured to me. Thaler was awful - how can he ref a game between Hull and Wakefield when is from Wakefield!!!
Was stood behind some tanked up fans that was only interested in the beer and slagging our team off. I get sick of people saying we are rubbish and Agar should go. Get a grip Agar is going nowhere - he's building his team for next year. If you don't like what you see the don't come.
I hate hearing the team booed!!! Its not right - I totally agree that you are entitled to your opinion as a paying fan - but as a 100% fan please don't shout abuse to the team while they are playing - it serves no purpose at all. If you are not happy with the way we are playing - simple - stay at home!!!!!

What worries me is,although I watched it on the telly,I could not drum up any enthusiasm.I have held a season ticket the last 6 years,and probably will next year too,but I have to say,we are total dross at
the moment.This is my opinion,but I think I am entitled to it,even if I don`t attend EVERY game.

the o/p is an absolute joke, why should we spend yet more cash going to Wakefield to watch such dross? Kath, Rule and the players aren't going to come round and give the 'last FC fan standing' a prize you know, its not some contest to see how poor Hull can get before the fans give up | | | |
