I bet the "official agreement" was drawn up with the KC being an intrinsic part of the deal, anyway.
More bluff and blackmail attempts.

I actually doubt it, to get them to agree an open air event with the spectators that far from the courts would have been nigh on impossible, I would imagine Bridlington was always the venue. Also, interesting how he think he could just get planning in Beverley, he obviously has no idea what ERYC's planning department are like on new build anywhere near central Beverley (or how expensive land and existing buildings are).
he's just an idiot

He probably thought the squash facilities in the "Sports Village" would be ready by then

as I said, I really cannot see the governing body agreeing to this without seeing detailed plans with evidenced finance in place etc.
Also, the world Masters are in Birmingham next year, the National Championships are at the NATIONAL SQUAH CENTRE IN MANCHESTER, why on earth would the governing body move away from it's OWN NATIONAL CENTRE?????

But we all know that this is the bit he's not very good at.
Are you saying the rl"agreement"rl may not be as finalized as Allam and his lap dogs are making out?

No self respecting company would bother producing a full complete set of final plans at the start of such a pre-application discussion. It's not like a loft conversion or moving the counter in a corner-shop.
Interesting that on a cursory glance of an outline for discussion, you and your chums felt it looked a good scheme. Instead of one man from the Council blocking it from further debate from the real decision makers, it should have led to more open discussions to find areas of compromise and agreement.
Why some of you feel I'm blindly backing Alam is more just your own blinkers. I've said repeatedly he's handled it badly and needs to accept his share of the blame. That's no excuse for slamming the door though. People of the ilk of Adam Pearson back the plan. Whose opinions would you trust more with investments, one man from a ruling party that's running up millions in debt already, or multimillionaires with proven track records?

I may have misread or misheard but as far as I'm aware, there's only one man who has said he is done talking on the subject and that ain't any of the elected councilors

you're an idiot, ask the people he has consigned to the scrap heap, he has a track record for being a bit of a lunatic.
now, I suggest you either head to the City forum or the KR forum, or back to your menial sports reporter job at the (sponsored by Allam Marine)HDM.

| As Standee said, his track record is perhaps not a squeaky clean as some City fans think.
In the Championship can City make money?
Do City need another investment to push for the Premier again?
Can City make money in the Premiership?
Allam has bought a football club that will struggle to make money without investment, he has paid millions for a club with no assets and a stadium company that doesn't own the stadium.
Gift the stadium to him, let him build commercial property and Hull City's training facilities around the ground (then he can sell Cottingham and Priory Road facilities)
Generate revenue from the commercial activity or sell on the completed project to a pension fund
or
Invest the cash into Hull City, get them into the premiership and look for a buyer for a big payday. hopefully Allam can keep the stadium if not he will keep the commercial development

| If anyone thinks Allam is squeaky clean and rolling in money then they would be advised to get a Private Eye from the end of last year (unfortunately I gave my copy away and can't provide the issue number) and see an article about him under "Planet Football".

You're only called FC, because you know football is far more popular.

I don't see anybody claiming any such thing. There's enough ways of putting checks and balances in to keep it as the none issue that it clearly is.
I'm surprised it even gets mentioned as if it's some sort of revelation. It was all discussed at the time on various messageboards, it just seems to be here that it's news.

I don't usually respond to fools or 'wind up merchants' but you really are a lamb.
It's quite easy really.....YOU CAN HAVE ALLAM......no, please KEEP HIM.....We don't want him.....Happy ?
It's quite simple really.
Any grown up who claims:
I can bring down the amount of kids on ASBOS.
I will invest £160m in building a new stadium in the worst (world) recession on record.
I will build Squash courts on the KC pitch and expect thousands of pundits to sit in the West stand.
I will give Hull Krap 1m as a gift and expect the Hull FC fans to love me.
I want one professional rugby league club in HULL and expect RL supporters to trust me.
I'm fed up now......Your just like Allam in the words of Del boy...."you really are a plonker".
Keep supporting the LOONY TUNE he really has the best intrest of Hull City AFC at heart

| this is a dead topic now anyway, given the new rules about football clubs having debts etc that the FA will have to bring in.
