| Quote: Jake the Peg "on paper, if everything clicks then I'd agree. In reality,
asiata getting more injuries and bans,
cust, always injured,
abdul unfit and gets injured a lot when he does play,
sezer - best form 4+ years ago. Will be 34 next year
hardaker - too slow for FB, average at best in the centre
Add in
Burough - promising youngster who can't get a game at salford, hasn't shone while out on loan in the championship
chamberlain - slow and average
Briscoe, old slow and past his best
holmes - not wanted at wire, can't get a game at leigh
It really is scraping the bottom of the barrel and if the club are expecting a crop of youngsters to come through and pick up the baton in 2 or 3 years time then experience shows it's unlikely to happen'"
Bang on the money.

| If it’s a 2 or 3 year deal for Sezer it would also stifle our recruitment for the year after. Isn’t our only quota player on an 18 month Cartwright? He actually looks good so we’ll likely extend him at some point you’d imagine.

| Really mixed thoughts on Sezer he was in the man of steel running at Huddersfield but then awful at Leeds...but then again we are desperate and a perfect choice not going to happen

| Sezer is a starting NRL half (albeit in not a great team) but he's far and away better than anything we've been linked with aside from Lam, he's got a decent injury record, knows super league and the English lifestyle and I don't imagine he'd be on marquee money

| Is having Seizer better having Trueman?
I'm not sure.

In the number of games he is likely to play per season, he is definitely an improvement on Trueman.

Always makes me laugh when I see these type of comments. Even if it’s true and he’s not on big money what does that matter to a supporter, it’s not our money? As supporters we either think he’s a good player or not his wages shouldn’t factor into it.
I can see in theory that it could mean that we could have more salary cap space if we was at the limit and bring in more players, but there’s no way we’ll spend anywhere near the salary cap (wasn’t we a million behind Wigan’s spend this year?) so it’s absolutely irrelevant. Not just this but I remember people celebrating Abdul’s potential marquee dispensation too. It would only mean something if we were at the cap limit. He’ll either do a job or won’t. Sadly we are in no position to care about salary cap dispensations.

Sadly I think we will be at cap next year.

Because if he's not on marquee money that could give us an option to spend it on a centre. As fans we like to speculate how the caps been managed and what we could potentially still bring in, to me it matters if we're getting financial value out of a player, especially given the precarious financial position we are in. If we have any more Reynolds/Brown/Pele/Evans/Hoy I could probably go on it could have a horrendous impact on the club, I don't fancy seeing us do a Bradford (which could be a real possibility depending on investment).

| If you have watched Wests this year, he has played OK this year and the win record is much better with him playing.
But at 33/34, and him pairing with Abdul, gives us no pace, if he was at 7 with someone quick, it wouldn't be bad for a year, but it's a slow looking half back pairing for next season.

Might as well keep Morgan Smith if that's the criteria.

| Hopefully just for one season, I guess the club are now looking at Jack Charles as a regular starter from 2026.

| Really disappointed in this signing. Was hoping the last two quota spots would be used on game changers. Was happy to accept the journeyman, good pro type signings if we had a couple of stars mixed in
