Quote: bonaire "Regretfully i agree but what on field changes will we see in the coaching?
I agree we have on paper some better players coming in but will we see a change to the predictable five drives and a kick, lack of player movement, poor and slow passing, and a line so deep its easy to defend.
I doubt It.
Alternatively if the answer is yes and we do see changes then you have to ask why havnt we seen any improvements for the last two seasons.'"

So, wither way, we can anticipate another season of you slating Radford.

Lose/Play poorly - Radford is at fault
Win/Play well - Wgy didn't Radford have us doing this last season?

Poor bloke can't do anything right in your opinion.

I'd like to see some attacking input, I think Horne, Last and Yeaman should be dispensed of and talent that has no prior association with FC brought in.

Quote: Tarquin Fuego "So LR says it’s hard to motivate the team for a season defining match

He’s also said it’s not really his fault and clueless as to how to fix it

You really have to ask

What does he do week to week ?

Said before
Name a stand after him and let him move on
He’s just reached the end of this project'"

It does sound as though from that interview, he has lost Interest and is deflated of ideas.
He s been at the club a long time and everything has a shelf life.
Radford needs recognising for his achievements and give him a fitting send off. But I do think it is time Pearson Recruited a new head coach. For example looking back at Kieran Cunningham at saints, at the end of his tenure the players were uninterested, and deflated, and rarely had any consistensncy, those same players transformed over night and have been consistently good for the last 2 years. I don’t think Cunningham had lost the dressing room but more a case of boredom had set in, as I’m sure we all go through at some point in our own working lives.
Because KC had been a loyal long serving employee at the club, I think McManus probably kept him in the job for to long due to sentiment which we all know in sport is bad, I would say this is the same conundrum that Pearson has with Radford!
Players are often moved on to freshen up the squad and I think the same should be said for the coaching staff

Great post.
Only problem with our owner, he thinks, IF the coach is not from Hull, 'they dont get it' ie
they cant quantify what the club means to its fans...
Also Pearson thinks Radford is the best thing 'since sliced bread' , IF we had a change of coach, he'd more than likely promote from within, with the existing backroom staff still in situ.,which in my opinion, wouldnt make any difference...

For me, it is always the same line - if we get our spine and creative players on the pitch, we will be fine.

Well they were there on Friday and we were awful! Saints have had a different spine multiple times during the season, but because they have an ethos, and a way of playing and obviously train the same throughout the squad, any player can come into the side and their results haven't altered

Can't believe Leeds have appointed Agar as their permanent coach.

It's going to be interesting seeing how that pans out.

Very surprised shane flanagan hasn't been mentioned with the leeds role, though saints might be sounding him out. wouldn't mind someone of his calibre at FC, at least it would represent a significant break from the past

If you look across super League we are the only team to play 5 drive's and a kick.
Every team in the league including the bottom team play more expansive rugby than we do.

More 'spin' from Pearson...

Wait until Lee gets his own players.. 'same old garbage' ,
adding more to the coaching staff, .probably his mate's from East Hull ARLFC..

" [ibut we can never be a top three club if we get 8,000 crowds.[/i"
Maybe if the team was coached to play,a more expansive type of RL, crowds would increase..

Pearson is still convinced, that training, preparation, skill training, does not affect results, nor performance, he believes that its the quality of the individual player, not the coaching of individuals into a team.

He's as culpable as the Team Manager... -IMO

I thought it was a mixed bag, somethings I agreed with and some things not.

Things to take are that Radford will be the coach at the start of next year, pleased they are looking at the coaching structure, hopefully it will be an outsider as assistant coach, someone like James Ford would be a good choice.

I think it's time for a new coach, but it looks like that isn't happening, so I can either stop going to games or back the club and Radford, it's in my blood so it has be the latter.

I still think we are lucky to have Pearson, he has his faults but without him we wouldn't be in this position we are, as he said there isn't the money in the city or the game to replace him.

Next season is one of the biggest seasons for years, it really could make or break us, the new players will probably be enough to get a similar level of passholders, but I'm not sure we can have another season like the last two, the goodwill will be gone and it could be a slippery slide for the club.
Any fans that send personnel abuse to any payers should be banned, particularly the players mentioned.
