It has been said a few times, that the Council cannot sell the club, and even if they could they would have to sell at the market price.

It seems that City pay 1 million a year rent, and I would think much (if not all) of that would be the cost of City being there. I would dare to believe that the short fall, could be made up by staging other events at the stadium.

Quote: Frank E ""until they become real journalists and search out the truths and hidden objectives behind the protaganists of this affair.
I don’t think that will happen any time soon."

We can agree that they are not real journalists, but you speak as if there are "truths and hidden objectives" and present it as fact. This is merely opinion and speculation, although admittedly I think it's fairly obvious this is Sir Allam's last attempt at getting ownership of the stadium before sanctioning plans to move the tigers elsewhere.

I think the Allam's have pulled out a royal flush this time, as it's been made fairly clear that it's within everyone's interests for the football club to remain at the KC. FC couldn't afford to rent the stadium alone, and the council couldn't afford to keep and maintain the stadium with just FC as significant tenants.

I'm sure cllr. Geragthy and co would love nothing more than the KC stadium to be an independent home for Hull FC, but realistically, if Allam gets planning permission and gives the green light to start construction for a football stadium outside of Hull, what choice do the council have but to agree to sale, and what choice does the rugby club have but to step aside and allow this to happen?

I should be wary of upsetting the Allam's too much, because it could be just a matter of time until the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds you" comes into effect. Sometimes it pays off to just bite the bullet, and if I'm correct in my judgement of the situation, I hope this is possible for the sake of sport in Hull.'"

Likelihood of this happening anytime soon appears to be pretty low. See Brighton & Hove Albion for details - took 10 years and they were homeless at the time. Localism bill, plus the need for any proposal to go Westminster makes it a distant prospect at best, surely? Or do you know otherwise?

Never said it did, especially if we narrow it down to JW's pictures but then there's already been plenty on here that could be classed as O/T. I was actually trying to find a story on a football club (East Midlands or East Anglia IIRC), who were promised riches beyond belief including a new super stadium, only to find their dreams in tatters

Thanks, was just checking to make sure the link wasn't going somewhere different, and for a football club promised the world and not getting as far and as fast as promised, look at Leicester, they got Sven and "we got Sol but he's not a soldier", he spent millions, they're in a similar position to City league wise.

This has never been in question. In fact the stadium only went ahead once both City and FC agreed to play there as it is not viable with only one sports club.

Quote: Frank E "I'm sure cllr. Once again, the Council have always envisaged the stadium as the home for both City and FC - not either one on it's own. And the Allams don't have the money to build another stadium. If the did then they would have made a reasonable offer for the KC rather than trying to get it for next to nothing and then flouncing off when they failed.

Quote: Frank E "I should be wary of upsetting the Allam's too much, because it could be just a matter of time until the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds you" comes into effect. The Allams are not feeding FC. Unless you're just a mug who can't see beyond the spin in the HDM.

Quote: Basher "Premier Club Tickets were bought as Hull City/Hull FC/Concerts etc in the beginning - Companies bought them for the whole shebang. You talk as if Premier Club was exclusive to Hull City - I dont think so remember you were a lowly 3rd Division club at the time - I assume the Premier Club could be slighly different now cos Marketing them could be a problem because companies have rained in on extra costs. Recession etc.'"

I've been a Hull City Premier Club member since the day the KC opened, there's always been an additional charge to expand the membership to include Hull FC games(it used to be a very small amount, but it increased substantially ahead of this season) and members had to buy gig tickets at face value too.

You're obviously not accept what I'm saying about the confidentiality agreement, so I won't bang on about it, but Adam is obviously not going to breach it unless it's removed completely, so the suggestion that there's some sort of plan to get him to breach it, simply so FC can get thrown out for breaching it, is ridiculous.

Kosh, my comment about being called a thicko was aimed at the board as a whole, not you specifically and though I may have my failings, being thick certainly isn't one of them.

I disagree, certainly when it comes to contract law and confidentiality clauses you seem bereft of cognitive capacity and logic.

Maybe you should change your name to Billy Whizz, as I recall Lambretta's have style, grace and poise, the Billy Whizz just made a boring, annoying droning noise...just a thought.

Lets be sensible here, Ehab Allam called upon AP to waive the Clause knowing full well it wasn't in AP's power to do so and knowing that if Hull Fc did respond to his comments they would be in breach of the clause and could be thrown out of the stadium.

All existing and generally known ways to immortality can be divided into four catagories. The way of the Fakir. The way of the Monk. The way of the Yogi. The most honourable being 'The way of the FC' Sebasteeno = CLUELESS:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_14059.jpg

It's just been on the 'Burnsy' show and Burnsy said he had a chat with 'Allam the elder' on Friday in respect of the JW pictures. Allam told Burnsy that the SMC was losing money and he told the MD of SMC to find ways of cutting the losses, revenue from advertising space is something that he will not back down from, and is a matter of principle.
Burnsy then put on his brown nose claiming that Mr Allam was a very nice man and has done a lot of good things in the area, he actually paid for 365 kids for Saturdays game free of charge. And Burnsy is of the opinion that Hull City will NOT be at the KC in 2 years......hmmmmm.

Allam can throw his money about as much as he likes 'buying' support, he can do this for the next 20 years throwing his money about, but he wont even scratch the surface of what JW has GIVEN to this City in all sports, his influence is'nt measured in ££££, it's measured in respect.
