Could be a deal struck by the administrators thus needing to be honoured.

| All the Super league Clubs agreed when they met to sort out the bid for Bradford, that none of them would move for any Bradford players I bet it was a case of everyne looking attheir shoes and first one to blink there. They all have bids into the players agents I'll be bound but nothing will happen which is OK for Bateman and Co who have longer contracts but they have many out of contract and if things don't get sorted they could end up without a Club!
Incidentally SLE meeting today with, its rumoured, just two things on the agenda the Bulls and the number of teams in Super League next season!

I just thought of him when thinking through NRL fullback possibilities. Could Wright have impressed enough to deem Gardner surplus to requirements?
I think Gardner would suit SL a lot.

Interesting last point when all clubs have a licence for next year (Bradford situation notwithstanding). Unless they're going to increase?!?!

I hope they're not thinking of going to 13 teams and a bye week system like the NRL.

It wouldn't be too bad, my suggestion is our bye being the magic weekend, we've got a shat record and we save a few bob!
Seriously though, we can't chuck anybody else out, so the only option is to bring another team in. Featherstone?

| I can't see them admitting any more clubs in as they would have to share the Sky money with them, that's why Hudgy wants less clubs so he gets more sky money.

| If we were talking about an oldco Bradford then I don't see that there would be anything to discuss - they should retain their licence, as others have and as would seem to make commercial sense.
My worry then is that it is going to be a newco and there is no tidy solution for that. There isn't time for an application procedure and you couldn't, by definition, just give them a SL licence. You could give them [ia place[/i, but not if you want to retain licensing (personally I'm sick of it - nice idea on paper, poop in the face of reality). Or we could go to 13 teams - and presuambly lose a home fixture. Hmmm.

Rumour has it that the SLE bid involved the Bulls dropping down to the Championship next season, so that could indicate which way the wind is blowing. On the other hand, McManus has just written a long and passionate article about how critical to SL the Bulls brand is and how they should stay up forever. Although that article does hint at this not necessarily being the majority view amongst the current chairmen. In the same article he reiterates his desire for a smaller SL though, so who exactly would give way if not the Bulls is anyone's guess.

Who do people think, over here, would be a better signing that Galloway?
Don't see that much NRL so my knowledge on Galloway isn't brilliant but what I've seen he has looked a good player.
I think if we've got an good agreement with him then go for it, before somebody else does.
Unless we are trying to find somebody over here a little cheaper, even at the sacrifice of some skill.

Seen his last two games and he doesn't look remarkable. Certainly wouldn't be sacrificing any skill by signing a decent English forward. I'd prefer the Ben Murdoch-Masila rumours to be true if we're signing a Wests player.
