Clueless amateur coach who's being given a job at a club with "top 4" aspirations, it is ing laughable.

If we had gone for Burns, they'd have been the same concerns around his attitude and on field etiquette as with Chase. We either go for 1. someone that's good but comes with baggage (Burns), 2. pay for the talent (Luke Walsh) or 3. a young gun that's cheap and unproven...... The cheap option is ours at FC.

Sean Long wasn't a cheap option, clubs go for whoever are available then its upto the individual what club they sign for.

who do you think will be the halves,if miller isn`t picked? reading your post,it looks as though he could be on his way out,any credence to this?

We should start these two and stick with them. This season is over. Let them develope if we are keeping them. Burrow and McGuire took a good season to settle down and click. I think most pairings do.you can't just go out and buy class anymore. You have to coach them to do the job you want.

We've talked to a lot of HBs but for some reason or another they haven't chose us.

We were outbid by Saints.

This is were we should make sure we are not outbid, this is area we have been so desperate since 2007, when a players comes along as good as Walsh, we should be making sure we aren't outbid.

The same applies for Dobson, if he is available and wants to come back to SL, we should make him an offer he can't refuse, having him in our team or someone similar would improve us so much they would make back the money within a year.

If thats the case, maybe we should have offered Walsh more, offsetting his wage by not buying a load of journeymen players to fill out the team......

We are where we are, and it wont change anytime soon. Oh well, we can always play Horne there for another few years.

Only have to look at Salford, if they want a player - Koukash invariably gets his man.

Whilst I agree with the principle of us making sure we aren't outbid for halfbacks that would not necessarily guarantee we get said halfback. It looks like Warry are in the hunt for next season and if the rumours about Walsh are true then Saints will be too. Blake Green's contract is running out so Wigan may be looking for someone too if he moves on. If a player is interested in honours rather than money then all three of those clubs would be above us in the pecking order.

Someone mentioned that Rovers never seem to have a problem getting a halfback and I have to agree. When you look at their recent halfbacks such as Dobson, Green and Burns (I haven't seen enough of Keating to judge him yet) then I would have loved to have seen them in an FC shirt. Where they on our radar? If not, why not? If yes, why did they choose Rovers over us when both teams seem to me to be of equal stature? Certainly raises questions about our recruitment.

I think Miller maybe be dropped. In the last derby, Hull KR ran the same set play when close to our defensive line that targeted Miller. They had two dummy runners, running either side of where Miller was defending and Miller kept getting caught in two minds on which to target and it gave KR a couple of easy tries with the same play. I know the coach has said Miller's defence has improved this year, but would he risk him based on the fact most teams target him in defence? Lots of tactical decisions for Radford this weekend. Also do you play Ben Crooks or not? His defence is just awful and shows no signs of getting better. Too many weak defensive areas for teams to attack and until our defence is sorted we are going to lose a lot more than we win. We need to fix this up as the first priority to give us a chance of winning and then work on other areas.

Rovers run that particular play pretty well (scored a couple of tries at Wigan the same way although on the other side) and it's all down to communication between defending players on the side. That's why Yeaman should take as much blame as Miller and i don't think it matters who defends there the threat is the same.

As someone else has said the team as a whole need to move up quickly in defence and get in their faces. This we never do though.
