Those people who are "disappointed" should maybe suggest WHO we should sign at this stage in a season (or do they want the club to just do nothing ???)'"
Replace disappointed with gutted, and I make no apology for it.

| The positive I see in this move also comes with a couple of negatives.
He is a player that likes to get into the opposition faces and wind them up. Something we don't have at the minute. I think we do need to be a lot more ruthless and aggressive, however, it needs to remain in the laws of the game.
His aggressive nature gives away too many penalties, and while he enjoys winding people up, he is also very easy to wind up himself.
I'm glad it's only a short term deal, however if it does lead to an extra year I won't be too disappointed as it can only mean he has earned his right for a longer contract.

Eight in seventeen games this season.

If he cleans up his game, fair enough. If not, I'll still be calling him a cheap shot merchant.'"
Each to their own, but it's not like it's a first for any club to sign a player with a reputation.
Tim Street, Brad Hepi, Craig Greenhill, etc all came with poor reputations.
Rob Wilson was a dirty sod, no one seemed to mind when he was in a black and White shirt.
As has been pointed out, his penalty to games ratio is this season is ok. I'll go back to an earlier comment of us not having a mean streak. We give away so many soft penalties (poor ruck play/offside) that exchanging one of those for one which puts some doubt into the opposition I have no problem with, providing it's not the norm.

The only reason it's so low is he can't get there quick enough to put in a cheap shot.

| I really didn't think our injury situation was so bad that McGoldrick on a mid-season transfer would be a good option. We are only missing our 3rd choice centre and 2nd choice winger. Shows what a paper-thin squad we have. We left Russell out of the squad last week, and it seems the U20s like J Briscoe and Lynne are out of contention.
Oh well, welcome Ryan. Hope you prove me wrong too.

And why would he do that - Are you talking on the field or off - I have watched these sort of comments since it was first mooted and as far a I am concerned You and every one having ago no nothing about him. He has been at Cas for 7 years - if he was so bad he would have been ditched. Come on Ryan prove all these so called Hull Supporters wrong.

Also missing 1st choice second rower, 2 1st choice props, 1st choice hooker, couple of younsters out injured who would otherwise be used as cover. Oh and our 1st choice fullback has fooked off home. Not to bad really.

I don't give a feck what other clubs may or may not have done, or even what we may have done in the past. I despise dirty players. The game is tough enough without cowardly cheap shots.
You may be happy to turn a blind eye as long as someone plays for us. I'm not.

Calm down, it was tongue in cheek.
I have defended him over the last couple of days.
