| It was a great day - was good to show off my collection of shirts and other relics and to speak to so many other BnW's. There was so much memorabilia on show - I only wish I had time to see more of it.

| Quote: Standee "hopefully it will be a success, we should have been allowed to put a museum and visitor centre in the Carnegie building, is it still just empty (and becoming more derelict)?'"
The Carnegie building would make a great replacement to Charlston Club. Maybe with a bit more involvement from both Hull FC and Hull City the place would be very profitable and could be used for private parties as well as club dinners and presentations. Its a great looking building and in the perfect setting with a sizable car park at the rear.
A total no-brainer really and a great way for both clubs to help make this place a success.
Obviously......It would be a pub on match days and i guess, with a nice beer garden...would be a safer (less roads to cross) and more attractive option for those attending matches with kids!
Hey......I'll even run it for them

| Quote: Ian P "This afternoon was great so much history, too much to take in one go. The organisers need a big pat on the back as do all those who gave up there time to display there collections of FC history. The event has certainly taken off and I hope it becomes a regular feature now and who knows a display some where would be good, I worry about security in the old Carneigie library now.
Sammy Lloyd was a star turn , but so good to see other old players looking well an still black and whites.
The Rhino...Keith Boxall, Tony Duke.... The Doyle, Cyril Sykes looks great, George Harrison, Barry Edwards, Alan Mcglone, Don Robinson, Keith Tindall, sorry if I missed anyone out its been a long day.'"
You mean Don Robson.......Was at his house today trying to fix an un-fixable light fitting!

| i dont belive hull could use the Carnegie building it a listed building (2 i think)also the person who built it left condition attaced to its future use I think we would need somewhere we could hang framed shirts on flat walls from every season. there so much good stuff to use. the things i had on displays on sunday i would donate but not if it was a pub in anyway . if away fans buy a ticket for a match they could have free entry. it could be also use for school trips with a class room aswell. to teach kids about the great history of hull fc. we need to shout more about how great hull is. i as others have lot of ideas on this some good some not i would love to do this we need to make it happen. before other clubs do it first.

You sound like the guy I had a chat with at the bar, wearing the chequered sleeved Hull shirt, is it?

Yes. You were trying to get served at the bar, but missed your turn (several times) through talking to me.
The reason I asked is you made a reference to the club having their own heritage centre.
