As for your second point, I guess Agar is a little leery of dropping a young lad in on the wing. Which is understandable.'"
like we did with Hall??

| I still think the problem is (and has been for some time), that the 'club' seem to fail at developing players beyond 'decent'
Both Yeaman and Hall are decent players, but they once had the potential to be great players. I am not knocking Agar here, but I do include him as part of the problem.

| I think Yeamo and Hall are up there with the best centres in SL when our pack gets on top and when our halves give them decent ball.

Just because you've done something before doesn't automatically make it a good idea to do it again. In this case there are pros and cons, which Agar gets paid to assess and then come to a decision.
Still waiting for that list of tries BTW.

Yeamo is defensively one of the best centres in SL and Hally is developing. Some of the best centres in the game cant defend. Hall is working hard to get his defence right.

| Quote: GODS UNDERTAKER "Revisiting old discussions here but very relevant after last week.
Just sat and had lunch with 7 guys in the warehouse (all FC fans X4 season holders too) and every single one of them didnt rate Hall at all and saw Centre as the place we most now need to strengthen, and all thought Yeaman has not apart from one match this year shown anything different to last year!
so I ask a question or two of the bretheren on B&Ws
C Hall
1, has he improved as a player
2, has his tackling improved at all.
3, do we HONESTLY ever see him ever being a shoe in on the team sheet !
4, I know he is still young but he has a lump of experience now and as such would you honestly keep him when out of contract next ??
K Yeaman
1, has he improved as a player from last three seasons
2, has his overall game improved.
3, do we ever see him ever being back to the player who played for GB?
4, would you honestly keep him when out of contract next ??
or do we need in all honesty two decent centres???
please note no where here have I been derogatory to them , just asking your thoughts'"
My answers to your questions are:
Hall
1. Hall has improved
2. Yes - hugely
3. Yes - he is still only 22 and has played in a very disrupted team for the past two years which has disrupted his development.
4. I think we'd be lunatics to let one of the best centre prospects in the game go - especially non-quota.
Yeaman
1. Yes - although I think the last two seasons make it difficult to judge any player for Hull. Still, in 2008 he was the 7th highest try scorer in the league.
2. Yes
3. Yes, because I think he was picked too soon for GB. He is already being touted as a GB international for the 4 Nations.
4. Yes - he is one of the best centres in SL and certainly one of the best non-quota.
Let's not forget the season has just begun and our team will be better on the harder grounds (particularly Hall). We all know by now that it's how you finish the season that matters.

2. Yes
3. Yes, because I think he was picked too soon for GB. He is already being touted as a GB international for the 4 Nations. BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY OTHER POOL OF PLAYERS TO CHOOSE FROM

BUT TO GET TO THE BUSINESS END YOU HAVE TO WIN MATCHES AT THE BEGINNING

| Hall needs to play at centre or not at all IMO. Not sure who we could play there when Calderwood is injured.
He isnt a winger and this showed on Friday.
Play him at centre and I show he will improve each game.
Thought Yeaman has a had a good start to the season, both players will improve more when Long gets fit and Horne continues his good form.
Amazing what happens to this forum after one defeat.
Beat Bradford and there will be threads stating how good each player is.
