wheeldon showed promise then went backwards under our development same as higgins, granted both have gone onto make a name for themselves (in a fashion) at other clubs but king is the last one to of got anywhere at the club (GB honours). we don't seem to be able to develop props as all our forwrds are built the same in height and weight. |

Totally agree we dont produce young props ( thats why we need moa) or scrum halves, or stand offs. Our last scrumhalf to come through was Tommy Lee and i believe the coaching setup as is didnt and remain not to have clue on how to develop them ( maybe why longs coming in to find us and nurture a young talented 7) . I find it strange that Lee ended up been used as secondrower!!!???? Thats all we develop at the club second rows and centres with the odd hooker thrown in.
We need to hunt down a local young impact prop and scrum half to take us through the next 10 years! |
