| Thought the penalty for offside on the 5th tackle that led to their opening try was decisive. In that set they looked lost, with players just trundling the ball in looking like they knew there was no way through, then childs decides to finally give a penalty for offside and they got their 2nd wind and there was no way back. Also came shortly after he called us back and gave us a penalty despite us scoring from an error from the winger

Sorry, i meant Fairbank.
the point i was making was some of your fans were saying it was our full strength side - it was far from our strongest side but we had enough to finish the job.
Thought your defence was outstanding today till we finally managed to crack it !!.
good support again and plenty of noise - not the biggest away following like Raaaaymond says it was (2300) but still a great turnout and good noise and banter ...see you all next week !!

| Just seen the tries on SSN. Crabtree's try looked soft, 3 blokes couldn't stop his run. Houghton didn't look happy with Pitts' efforts to stop him. Could tell there was some very tired bodies out there towwards the end, a good rest this week can get us back on track.

It was virtually full strength and you'd also had the significant advantage of being able to rest players on Friday. Not to mention the easier game for those that did play.
I always expected us to lose under the circumstances as it would have been one of our harder fixtures even had things been more evenly balanced team-wise.

| Let's be honest, we were missing 7 first choice 17 players, including 3 props, our interchange hooker and our stand off. We also played our assistant coach, 3 youngsters with barely a handful of SL games between them and a leeds fringe player who has only been with us a week. If we'd gone into that game last season 3 days after a derby and against the league leaders we'd have shipped 50 points and everyone would have shrugged their shoulders and accepted it.
There's no wonder we offered little in attack given those missing and the much tougher easter programme we had.
Personally I was extremely pleased with the effort yesterday. The defence was superb and with a full strength team I think we could have won the game. gentle is still working with what he was given and they are over performing IMO. Bodes very well for when we can get some better quality in the squad

Sums it up for me perfectly.
Expecting a different game on Sunday - couple of days rest for the players to recover then work on a game plan that will see us break down a well structured Huddersfield defence.
Hopefully Moa, Martin and Horne will be back so things can refresh a bit - and hopefully a big effort from the 18th man this week will see us through

I can't see Horne being back tbh. And it would appear that Aspinwall and Sharp will also be out. That said I'm still confident we can beat them, we are mentally a lot tougher this year and expect us to bounce back.
