Like the look of that. If Hookem starts Reynolds with his experience should play alongside him. It would also give the opportunity to start Lovodua in his favoured position. Looking forward to this one. |

Seems strange to recall Hookem to not play him - to sit in the stand rather than starting for Whitehaven. He must be in the 17

Catalans would be a rough first game for a youngster but then again he played in the West Cumbria derby last week so maybe this will be less intense.
It could be that the plan is to play him against Toulouse next week and he is in the squad today as part of the preparation.

Although Litten took the plaudits in their victory over Workington in the Easter derby it appears Hookem had a decent game as hooker, a position he has been regularly training in with Hull fc before his recent injury spell on the side lines. |

Don't know how much influence a parent club's coach has on players on loan but i do think BH will be pleased to see Hookem at starting hooker again for Whitehaven, the position i believe he thinks is his future. |

no such thing now as a hooker in R/L.Its just another position that if used correctly can be a real attacking threat,
Unfortunately for us it needs players with pace and we dont have them. |
