Who was it that got City moving in the right direction as their owner before he sold them?. If it had not been for AP City would not be the position they are in now.'"Quote: F.C. Aces "Quote: F.C. Aces "Thought City got it right after they binned AP off.'"
Without Pearson Hull City would still be languishing down in League Two in my opinion. Any success they are now enjoying wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't have helped guide them up to the Championship.'"Quote: F.C. Aces "Thought City got it right after they binned AP off.'"
What they said.

| Quote: knockersbumpMKII "I laugh at people slagging CH off, just about the most naturally gifted player we had in attack during agar's tenure, excellent scoring record with us(47 tries in 76 games) and can kick goals. Yeah his defence is a bit flaky but then so is the golden boy Crooks(who has had some woeful games in that respect both last year and this) and is prone to brain farts (who isn't let's be honest)
Add in the fact he has only just turned 26 and can cover a number of positions and probably isn't going to cost very much at all IF we have to sign him for some strange reason he wouldn't be the worst option.
That said it looks like we are well and truly messing things about with lower quality players in the ranks in areas we don't really need them.
For me we should have made a decision regarding the wingers long before because signing Hall gives us effectively 6 wingers!'"
This. If we were in a situation whereby we played both Hall and Crooks we would have two of the most naturally gifted attacking centres in the league. Also two of the poorest defenders. Hall was very very good with ball in hand in a small amount of space. I would much Rather have Hall than Crookes.

Challenge Cup Winners 2016 (at Wembley) - HULL FC: |
|
| The sort of player that when he plays against us i tend to notice the good things he does in attack. Certainly did at KC last season.
But when he played for us i also noticed the errors he made in defence.
Could still make a decent stand off for us though?

Something in it. I was chatting with his dad, he never said he would be coming back to Hull but said he doubt he would play for the dobbins again. He said watch this space.

| Radders obviously doesn't rate Miller and had hauled Rankin off in the last 2 games. I want to believe in Rankin and its very early days but for a 6 to get subbed 2 games running.....
Heremaia took the line on yesterday, stretched them both left and right and looked the best player on the pitch for his 20 mins cameo (if only he's been on earlier we'd have won) but looking through Radfords eyes we appear short in this area.
Hall is a very gifted player, messed about from coach to coach. There's possibly attitude issues that havent helped him but this could be a really smart move. I was actually asking where Hall was yesterday as for me he's miles better than what HKR have in their halves at the mo. Also, we are generally short of 3/4s too.

I agree that it seems unusual that Rankin is getting subbed. I wouldn't say that it's obvious that he doesn't rate Miller though. He's getting named in the 19 man squad but there's only two half back spots in the team for Rankin, Horne and Miller so one is obviously going to miss out. I believe Miller can only play in the halves (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so it doesn't make much sense to put him on the bench. Much better to put Heremeia there as he can play in multiple positions.
I also agree that Heremeia should have been on earlier. I suspect that he would have come on in the first half as we've seen in other games if Shaul hadn't been sin-binned. Radder's probably decided that we still needed Houghton's defensive steel. Of course that doesn't explain why he didn't come on when we was back to full strength.

| maybe its tactical with rankin being subbed, warrington were visably tiring in the second half, bringing on aaron with 20 odd minutes left with fresh legs would be beneficial to us
don't understand why whiting wasn't introduced earlier though

Really? Where were the Allams back in 2001 when Hull City were actually in administration? Visiting family back in Egypt? Don't get me wrong. The Allam's are very much responsible for getting City up from the Championship to the Premier League and fair play to them for that. But City wouldn't have been anywhere near the Championship if Pearson hadn't bought them and bankrolled those promotions all those years ago.

| Good luck to him if he ends up back at FC, he is a good squad player but will never be first choice in any position really. TBH, our backs are pi$$ poor and I wish we could offload a few more (Welham for definate, he's an FC fan if you want him as well).

What a load of tosh. Do you think the Allams would of bought City while they were in division 2? Which by the way he never was intrested. The only reason Allam came sniffing was because City where still near the premireship and he could smell money.

Good effort. But City came good after the money Barmby was desperately crying out for was poured like a tidal wave down the Humber into Bruce's coffers leaving Barmby redundant behind the tidal barrier. Ironic that they used Nick's plea as the trumped-up excuse to get rid of him and Pearson (an affront to Allam's generous motives, didn't the story go? A foul breach of trust, after such a public betrayal, Allam would speak to them no more.... hang on, sure I've heard this line before) then did such a volte-face that Pa Allam was pirouetting all the way from the bank to prove Barmby wrong. Disgusting, cheap behaviour to blacken the character of a man who dedicated his all to the club.
