There are always threads about the coverage on Sky, then Origin threads and then threads about which player we should be looking at from the NRL.
One thread makes sense

I'm liking the Sam Burgess/Dave Taylor second row partnership.

Me too, Taylor took a few games to hit his straps, but is certainly delivering now. I like Burgess on the edges, He gets plenty of ball from Luke, Sandow and Sutton. What has impressed me the most about 'Slammin Sam' is his defence. His tacking is top notch, and he really cuts plays down in the takle.
Souths Back row this year has been very impressive. Ben Lowe and Eddy Pettybourne (who usually comes off the bench) are doing a good job. So good in fact, that Mick Crocker will have his work cut out to get back into the side once he is fit.
Souths will make the 8 this year. Will they make the four... I doubt it. They are still too inconsistent for me. Sandow blows hot and cold, and when he's cold, hes really cold! Lang also has to sort out his rotation policy too. Some of his interchange decisions still baffle me. But all in all, The bunnies are certainly no push overs this year!

Once Crocker is fit then he and Burgess will form a formidable backrow. I like Sutton s a player but again like Sandow he can be hit and miss. The halves are the one area that I think will mean the Bunnies don't reach the GF.

Agreed, I think Crocker will move to Lock and Lowe will come off the bench. Although that would be doing a slight injustice to Lowe, becuase he has been superb this year.
Suttons can be fantastic. When he is on form, Opposition players struggle to put a hand on him, and he has some great vision too. But he does have the tendancy to go missing some times. IMO, if Souths want to be a serious contender to the pemiership, then they have to find a top notch 7. For me, Sandow doesn't cut the mustard. For the last umpteen years, the lack of a decent half has been one of Souths biggest problems. They've had players like Joe Williams, Willie Peters, Owen Cragie and Ben Walker, to name a few. None have ever been good enough for regular NRL footy.

Lowes work rate is superb and for a his size Pettybourne can smash through defenses very well. If Crocker ever gets fit, something I'm doubting tbh, he'll struggle to get a game.
Agree about Langs use of the bench, he seems to want to keep his best players out there for to long which tires them out. If he'd have used his bench better v Penrith we'd have kept them below 10!

Good man! Well, I usually sit just to the left of the burrow as you look at it from the other side of the ground. Im usually in my Hull FC shirt, so if you see me, say hello! Been down to watch Souths training at Refern oval today. fantastic day! Spoke to Besty, Sammy, Luke Stuart and Mick Crocker.
Spoke with Vossy too, as he was there doing an interview with Rhyss Wesser for the Footy show tonight. Great bloke. His knowledge of the game is great.

Ahh, I think I know where you mean. Is that the Olympic Park station side of the ground?

| Jarrod Hayne has just put a stupid headbutt on Billy Slater in the Eels Storm game. With Parra having the bye next week, looks like Hayne could well miss Origin II
