Yeamo would handle Senior like he did Side Show Bob the other week..

I am a big fan of defence in centres.

Hall played outside of Yeamo vs side show bob and made as many good tackles on him as Yeamo did. icon_wink.gif

Maybe that is what Craig needs, to be outside a player like Yeamo, I will be honest with you and say Hall will never make a top centre due to his defence however I would definitely consider developing him as a winger his speed is his asset.

2 or 3 times Hall was first man into him and pulled the tackle off well. He's done that a fair bit lately. His main issue is his mental approach to positioning defensively. Whiting is still at fault for some tries though and even then Hall gets the blame.

I agree Whiting has on occasions being at fault, the difference between the players is when they commit to the tackle Whiting more often than not completes were as Hall has started more often than not to fail. His technique seems wrong to me.

His technique is all over the place, but his positioning does a lot of the worst damage. He gets a lot of flack for flapping and that's often because he gets in the wrong position to make the tackle and can't actually reach. Plus he goes high too often for someone of his build and just gets bounced off.

He'll never be a star defender, but you would think that with some effort he could stop being a poor one. In fact I've seen him defend far better than he has been doing in most games this season, which makes it all the more frustrating when he gets into the kind of rut he is at present.

I don't know what the answer is, but I'm increasingly thinking that it won't happen here.

You'd think the 'coach' would've/could've improved his poor technique and timing.

My main gripe is very similar to yours and probably most fans that watch him in action: He doesn't seem to learn by his mistakes, in fact his mistakes seem to be more spectacular by the game.

Like I noted a while back on this thread, he is a confidence player and he is suffering.
some good old cheering in his direction will make al the difference, hes still young

So if we all give him a clap evrything will be ok? icon_rolleyes.gif

How about Craig Hall actually grows a pair and develops a bit of mental toughness.

everyone develops differently in life and especially in rugby terms, to be playing at this level having the likes of Senior and Solomona running over him week in week out shows he has a toughness and skill none of the posters on here possess full stop. however he is as i have said a young fella where things are not going to plan at present due to a confidence issue and thats all it is!
The club recognise that , the players recognise that and the fans should also, I have to say this : anyone who pulls on a black and white jersey is a better player than any of us and as such we should support them (even through the hard times) till the club decide otherwise.
Maybe i am a loner in this but I thought the treatment by the fans at times of Lee, Horne, Hall, King and last years scapegoat was at times disgraceful.
