Quote: Standee "been here all along mate, said Radford would be crap and he is, I take no pleasure in it, I want to see FC winning, I fear I only have 40 years left'"

We had competed in all of our 5 previous SL games till today.
We are a mid-table muddling SL club.
Same as previous seasons.
Nothings changed.

What an embarrassing thread. You can argue about team selection as long as you like. But the team Radford put out there today created 6 chances to win the game easily and bombed the lot. That's no more Radford's fault than mine, just as the individual error last week that cost us that match.

Very fair comment.

hahaha..I'm used to dealing with immature adults but you're on a differing level altogether..I'm thinking verbal abuse of a forum member is against the rules, you might want to check that out...or shut up with your childish outbursts...

I didn't want Radford to fail, I KNEW he was going to fail, not enough experience (Needs another 6 years before he even gets to a club that wants to be aiming for top 4 ), doesn't have the know how/skillset (already shown several times over this season), can't manage the game whilst under pressure, again shown already and doesn't stick to his words...
Moving players around from their preferred psositons, leaving players in whom haven't performed, leaving players on the bench for 3/4 match or even not playing them at all..no good saying what you're going to do after not doing what you said youwere going to do before the season started..

It had disaster written all over it and people like you just get right on my wick accepting absolute garbage but because Radford is salt of the earth (backstabber more like it) & we beat a micturate poor Bradford and got lucky against Catalans..oh and could/should've won against Warrington (whom almost got beat by London FFS) and we only lost to Cas because of..(put any old excuse you like in but we lost)

He hasn't got a fecking clue and is now ing in his pants because it's all going wrong & he's looking an embaressment (a lot of his own making) and hasn't even got the gumption to say he'll stick it to the end of the season, that says to me he already knows he isn't anywhere close to being a SL coach, in which case he should have said no thanks, I'm not ready..THAT would have been the the sign of someone with maturity who knows what they are doing...

And other than an poor individual error from the guy who many (including myself) called to be played at FB Widnes wouldn't have scored a try either. I've just driven 220 miles to watch what is arguably the worst performance I've ever seen by FC at the KC. But I know that had some players done the basics of what their job requires Hull would have won fairly easily - that despite having a seriously weakened pack.

I'm neither for or against Radford and I would have done some things differently in selection than he has. But to blame him for today's defeat is disingenuous as the team he put out created more than enough to win at a canter. Coaches come and go but the same weaknesses in the same players bite time and again. Time for further changes of personnel next week no doubt. We need a group who can consistently perform at the required level. It's only 7 games ago we lost 76-18 after all.

Spot on. All Widnes did today to win that game was score a drop goal. We gifted them a try, and conceded the penalty that got them to six points. We also commenced to bomb quite a few chances.
Nout to do with team selection really is it?

i've seen an improvement in effort and determination in most of the games, but that is about it.

defence has dropped massively, while we are as clueless in attack as ever & kicking game is still poor.

at best we are no better than we were under Agar or Gentle.'"

Are you being willfully dense
Attack for a start! Barring today granted. You've just brain washed yourself on today's performance! We've scored lots of tries from all kinds of positions. Our points for was decent before today. Defence if you open your eyes is a lot meaner and tougher in field, it's the structure that's changed and not helping by changing combinations each week. The togetherness of the team has been much more evident as well
Simply need to find best team and we need a pack. We're pretty unlucky in the props at min.
Today was grim. Until it's repeated a number of times I'm not gonna wet myself

Embarrassing thread.
After listening to his interview maybe he's the person to sort out the malaise that's been in evidence for years.
As mentioned earlier, Fridays squad selection will be interesting to see if the required changes are made, and if he carries his implied threat through.

That's exactly how I saw it today. We were pretty hopeless but could still have won 36 - 4. We could also have won last week and at wire.

radford took a chance with his team selection today and it didn't come off. He needs to get heremaia back at hooker and we desperately need to get at least one more prop back for Friday. I don;t blame him for today's loss at all.

I do think he got his interchanges wrong (again) today. Our back row were struggling in the last 15-20 minutes and he needs better rotation. Stupid having a 2nd rower on the bench and not playing him.

There's a common denominator when it comes to the appointment of Gentle, McRae, Radders & Motu.

Best not mention that though.

Jurys out on the Pearson era, I like the guy but he's made several errors now...and goodwill with the fans only lasts so long.
