Yes, that's the point I was trying to make.

Agar's not the first coach to take a team to Wigan and come away with nothing the important thing is how we respond next week against Bradford.'"
Indeed. We are where I'd expected us to be, with the St Helens and Crusaders results both going against prediction.
I'm not a fan of Agar but for people to call for his head after six games - especially with four wins - is pathetic. It's interesting that the last two big wins were down to the likes of Fitz and O'Meley yet tonight's defeat is Agar's fault. That is sport, I guess.

I agree with that Major. Wigan away was always a bonus if we won but the manner of defeat is disappointing but then again it is all down to how we respond next week. Every team will have bad days its those that react positivily that will do well.

| As i see it so far only two of us have called for Agar's head, yet there were plenty more heaping credit of the players last week, some of which have called me a plank & a 2@ tonite, I am happy to debate the merits of Agar with anyone but lets be consistent in our debate

| I'd called earlier in the week for us treat the build up for this game as a massive game for us but we looked lethargic. Even without the penalties were totally dominated in the forwards. I actually don't think Wigan were that good tonight but they didn't need to be. Is it agars job to make sure the players are up for it? I'd say yes. Our defence was a shambles especially out wide and Hall is definately not a winger he was caught out so often.

| seems to be the two extremes on here. people defending agar vigorously and others attacking agar with some force. I am somewere in the middle. Expected us to lose tonight but the manner was dissapointing. Agars gameplan looked pretty decent but spilling balls and silly penalties are never helpful in carrying your gameplan through the game. If it was one man rugby I would be more concerned, but we are certainly alot better than last season.
In a sentence
Just one of those nights

| Quote: Tarquin Fuego "Wigan have the same squad as last year but are a completely different and better team - WHY - world class coach that we should have signed. We must make Nathan Brown an offer to jump Giants asap'"
I am sure Browny would laugh at such an offer but if not you better have a very very very big cheque book!!!
Why would Browny leave a team he got to 3rd in the league, to a Challenge Cup Final, won team of the year, coach of the year and has MOS amongst it's ranks.
If and when he does go I think it will be back to the land down under TBH.
PS: ATEOTD the season is only 6 games old and as your result proves, every team this season are capable of beating each other.

| Seem to remember when Hull won all the games in the 1978-1979 seaon and we had a great team - there was not one mention of Arthur Bunting being knighted? Now when a good team loses, its all the coaches fault??
I'm not convinced Richard Agar is comfortable at this level, but to call for his head when we lose to a Wigan team who have lost one of six is wrong IMO - do the other 5 teams who have lost to Wigan want their coach sacked?
Judge at the end of the season (or at least 20 games?) if we're eighth with this squad then look for another coach and good bye and thanks Richard. Think we're over reacting to be honest - it would be nice to win all the games again, but I cannot see any team doing that at this level.
Lets get back on the bike and support the team to the next win.
Come on Hull!!!

I Agree mate, I don't think Agar will be at Hull next season , but calling for his head after this game is a non starter. Wigan have played 40 mins of poor rugby wedged within 6 games so far this season .

| A quote frrom the Wigan board
"I cant believe how a coach can come in to his first role as a head coach and turn an average team into one that blows teams away by 30+ points pretty much each week. All within 6 months!
Maguire, you are a genius "
Even so I am not sure about the maniacal panic call to 'sack Agar' !!!
