Agar's biggest failing has been his selection policy. This is made worse by the fact he hasn't had many options available to him to get wrong this season with the injuries. Moa demonstrated tonight that he should have had a bench spot weeks ago bearing in mind our pack hasn't won a contest this year.

Likewise Whiting. I can't think of a single good reason for Whiting to be sat on the bench and G Horne to be starting the game.

Whiting reads the game very well and looked "at home" at full back but not going to get carried away after one game, I'm sure Tony. Horne and Thorman have all had some excellent games in this position. Moa added the oomph which is lacked by many, needs to keep the power but build the stamina.

Whiting has what most of our players don't have: A rugby brain, enthusiasm, a will to win, defencive ability.
For me he should be on the team sheet every week just for his utility value never mind all of the above.

Sam Moa's display was the highlight of our forward game for sure.
Taking into consideration we were playing a top side, BOTH players should be given a contract for next season.

Totally agree, they played well because they played with the ingredient most of the others lack PASSION..
I really like big Sam, a potential crowd winner in the making me thinks..

Can anyone clear up the quota system and how we stand as a club i.e who's our overseas players next seaon , fed trained etc, read on a earlier post that Moa wouldn't be able to be offered a new contract as our quota is full for next season ??

Maybe not, its possible that he was never fit enough and he has now improved his fitness to a level where Agar can use him for more minutes.

In previous games Moa played it was clear to all he was struggling with the intensity after 10 minutes.

He showed up really well today and on that performance should be first name on the bench every week till the end of the year, and who knows maybe a new contract.

THANK YOU Mr. PEARSON, FOR RIDDING US OF FCKWIT FUBAR, CEO TOOL AND THE STINKING UNCLE KATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??:icons42da_files/5424-2890lipst1ck_d0rk-msnicons.jpg

Whiting has showed time after time that he should be in the 17 somewhere. He spends most of his time out of the 17 or on the bench and then almost randomly gets thrown into a position and excels yet again.

Why his G Horne spending so much time on the pitch ahead of him ???

As for big Sam, why on earth isn't he playing every week ?? He was thrown in only days after getting off the plane and never really did anything wrong, then as his fitness improves, gets no game time whatsoever, it's baffling to me. He has clearly got something that our other props haven't got and could, given a chance, become a very very good forward and a fans favourite.

In short Mr Agar, give Whiting and Moa a new contract NOW and get rid of Graeme fooking Horne !!!

Was a real highlight seeing Moa play more than 10 mins and Whiting coming into the line from full back. Looked a very good option at FB.

Moa looked like what weve been missing, some impact up front. Hope Agar sticks with him, he can only get better.

Agree with that. He played well last night and should retain his place but in the previous games for me he did struggle a bit with fitness, it looks like his fitness levels have now improves.

Let's not get carried away...

Richard Whiting DEFINATELY requires a new contract, and a lengthy one at that. But... He's not a Full Back. His best position IMO is Loose Forward.
Saying that, he's got a very good utility aspect of his game as shown... Full Back/Centre/Half Back/Second Row/Loose Forward... The fact that he excels in all these positions means he should be given a contract and a possible 5/6 game run at one of those positions (while there main occupier is injured) to claim that spot as his own.

As for Big Sam, just play him.

Totally agree, Whiting needs tying up now and he should be playing 13 or 6. He's such a good player that he's better than anyone else to partner Yeaman and probably due to his rugby brain alone, the best FB at the club. That doesn't mean either are his correct position.
