Not surprising in the least.
It's an easier sideways move after retiring, one it gives you an income and remain connected to the sport without too much pressure with a familiarity of people around you. Expectations would not have been high for what is basically a trainee. He's had that first year to transition and more time to think about what he wants to do more specifically and where geographically too.
Leading up to making the decision to retire must be very difficult to know what you're going to do as you are still playing and maybe not even 100% sure you're definitely going to pack it in even a couple of months from end of season. I hope he makes a go of it wherever he ends up, if he's as dedicated to it as he was on the field he'll be an attribute.

agree with you there wilf,the amount of times we get into the oppositions 10m,with a couple of tackles left and we cannot seem to find a way through the defence.

If this season fizzles out on the back of 'injury' excuse then AP may well have had enough and then who knows ??

Or he may well realise the extent of the situation and go again next year. Just like the rest of us. Well... Most of us.

Injury excuse, next you will be saying the players not playing are all faking it to get rid of AP.

Anyone who watches and supports the team can clearly see this is an injury ravaged season and it is quite clear now why Radders only plays the young kids in short bursts as they have run out of steam playing long minutes.

Not sure about attacking coach first we need someone full time praying to the injury Gods. (joking yes an attacking coach)
