Very good with ball in hand, needs to work on pass accuracy though

Even more so that Horne isn't that good and always injured. If Horne has a starting berth next season, then that's a joke.
I'd consider Briscoe at one but he's a world class winger and that would mean us signing two wingers for next season unless Sharp stays.

Needs more time on the ball than when he's on the wing, so definitely a great shout. Think he'll do a better job there than Horne, but then who would our wingers be? Crookes and Lineham?

Quote: BIGARR "As much as Horne as done for us I really hope he is not starting Full Back, too many injuries and defiantly not consistent enough.

I reckon we will have a new signing Full Back.'"

ive got a feeling that horne will retire at the end of season(just a feeling in my bones lol) k020.gif

Lineham is ready to start on the wing IMO, and if it is true we have signed Crookes then you have your 2 wingers for next year.

That's a very pacey wing/fb combination all have the ability to go the length of the field easily. Can't imagine there will be a quicker 3 in the league.

Wouldn't surprise me at all given the time he's now spending injured.

lets not get carried away, briscoe did well today, last week wigan showed why he shouldntbe fullback next season, also a couple of stray passes today that a regular FB would've made week in week out, i'd stick with horne as fb next season, (if we dont get mcdonnell) and use briscoe as back up!

He would have the rest of the season and the off-season to gain experience at Fullback, and i'd rather see a player throw a few 'stray passes' out but create loads of other chances/tries than watch Horne trot the ball slowly in to the line and create nothing.

think you are being a bit unfair on horne

hornes' best games this season were when he has been at fb

moving briscoe off the wing will weaken us imo, all the top teams seem to have strong wing centre partnerships, in briscoe and lineham we seemed to have finally found some wingers with some strength and pace!

If we don't sign a good fullback I'd put Briscoe there straight away, his agility, strength, and speed are wasted on the wing when he doesn't get much service

Finally, some sense.

We do need to get Briscoe on the ball more though. If we didn't play with split halves then he wouldn't be needed to play with ball in hand as much.

I've said for a long time we need to ditch our split halves system. Our move for Chase gives me hope that we are doing.

Great display by Tom today. Tremendous turn of pace for his breakaway try.
