| all guesswork as you say but I would expect a better direct debit scheme this year you should have longer to pay back over, perhaps 5 monthly payments this time.

Expecting the same thing Wilf. Would make sense for the club to offer 5 payments of around £45-£50 rather than the previous 3 payments of £70-£80 at a time when money is usually tight.

| Surely the earlier sale date must be so they can offer longer payment terms to people? Any ideas on what these other innovations pearson spoke about are? Are we moving to hull kr style credit card passes? Hope ours work if they do

City have done so I'd imagine Hull will too.

Do you think we will have to pay more money if we used this scheme ? it is very tempting but not if we have to pay extra imo

| Dont know how manageable it would be , but i would like to see an all year round scheme.
ie. Adults pay £25-£30 per month lets say over 10 - 12 months, this would give them, £250 at least. Maybe have a kids one at £10 per month
The use this against the pass, and anything left over is redeemed (by vouchers perhaps) as only be able to spend at the club shop.

| That would be a great idea karl as for the other one, I believe it has to be a swipe card this time as City's is because all their pass holder gates will be rigged for that.

I think that's how the system at City will work when all their back office stuff is up to date. Also talk to using it for food + drink in the stadium.
If AP & AA haadn't fallen out it could've been even easier and used one card for everything City and FC related.

There would be the usual DD charge, but I am hopeful the club will implement something like Hutchie mentioned, but with differing options.
1, 6 month DD scheme pass only X amount per month
2, 6 month DD scheme pass & home shirt X amount per month
3, 6 month DD scheme pass & home & Away shirt X amount per month
4/5/6 same options but over a longer period.
Not only should this boost season pass sales it could also be a massive boost for shirt sales.

AFAIK they sell savings stamps, so people can do this for themselves. Direct Debit etc. is complex to manage on a scale as you're suggesting (and can prove expensive), what if someone has paid 5 installments and then loses their job, does the club keep the money, offer a refund??
What would be better would be an FC credit card (again, administration is expensive) where all purchases in the FC shop are at 0%.

| Quote: fozzy "Season passes go on sale September 3rd a lot earlier than in past years. My concern is as a Reserved seat pass holder having had the same seat since the KC opened is, will we still have until 25/11/2013 to reserve our seats. Just a bit worried that the date may be brought forward which would mean i would lose my reserved seat as like most people at the minute finances are very very tight. I can understand why they are going on sale earlier than normal as i believe like most that due to the new signings that will be announced on the 4th September people will be rushing to the KC to buy a Season Pass. Anyone else share this concern or have any SERIOUS views on THIS?'"
I'd have another go at the edit mate. I imagine the club won't wait until the end of next season to allow people to claim seats for next season

But they don't get a seat. If a seat is available then it is worth the £50 each season to make sure they will have it in the future especially if it is in a much sought after area.

Stamps are fine for those who remember to buy them but the last thing I feel like doing on match day is popping in to buy a savings stamp
I think the club need to look at ways to tempt fans back and new signings alone are not going to do that at the moment.

has to be worthwhile for the club though, and if people wont pay a fee for a service it becomes expensive.
