Top 6 is my "being realistic" expectation. New coach, big turn around of players means a bit of transition.

A year of transition beckons and then some more quality signings to replace the likes of Radford and i think we will be up there the season after next.

I think Bomber and Gentle will definitely target a top 4 next year, however like you say whether this is achievable will remain to be seen. I would love top 4 but I will not be disappointed with top 6.

I'd be happy with top 5,then pin point what we need for a good tilt the year after. Anything above that will be a bonus.

Top 4 should be realistic, apart from Wigan and Wire I don't think think there's a massive gap.
Saints will always be there or thereabouts, but don't think they're any better than us tbh. And as someone else pointed out the other day, the Brown effect at Hudds seems to be wearing off.
I'd be disappointed if we didn't achieve top 4.

After watching the 2 games at the weekend i'd be interested in how you come to the conclussion that Saints aren't any better than us.

Saints have some good signings for next year, and their youngsters wont be a mainstay of the side as a result, but when they do play they know what they are doing. I will say they will be 3rd again.

It has to be a target to get in the top 4. Outside of the top 4 this year its pretty ordinary. Even Huddersfield are only marginally better than clubs in 5th to 8 positions.
Add to that Wigan getting a new coach and a lump of lard from us and they may slip back into the pack. I emphasise MAY.
I would also imagine commercially Pearson will demand a final appearance at Wembley. If he delivered a win there he would become a saint in the eyes of all black and white fans.

Difference now is we have got rid of Agar and the old board and in there place we now have people who know what they are doing.
