Richard Swain was a great player for us but the best player of the decade for mine is Jason Smith.

Swainy was great but he was more of a machine. I Thought the Barrnet was

Just out of interest, why wouldnt Hull fans choose him? He was our most important attacking weapon for numerous years in the noughties and we have been suffering in attack for the last 2 seasons since he went imo.
The mud around him leaving shouldnt tarnish the fact that he was a great player for FC.
My answer would be Swain though. |

Overall consistency is Swain hands down but for his 1st 2 seasons with us...Jason Smith was simply superb a ball playing 13 and a pleasure to watch.
Also i thought Adam Maher was very under-rated and was a big influence in the team as well.

Similar could be said about Shayne McMenemy. One of my favourite players of all time. |
