My dilemma though is, because of the bit in bold, we need to let the season develop, in order to establish what the squad is likely to achieve.
6 games in isn't long enough, but how long is too long?'"
Highly unlikely before the Cup starts even if we lose the next three. Should that happen and we exit the Cup at the first hurdle followed by a derby loss then who knows.

Again ill repeat not once have i said Pearson out even if Mrs B has to resort to pulling posts out from years ago - i said he was clueless then and hes not exactly great now either - his continuous support of a coach who consistently doesnt get the best out of what he has in front of him proves that.
But at least were doing well in the decent (but rented) training facilities league that some people seem to laud us about. Oh and merchandise sells well.'"
But you have said the club is a mess from top to bottom, a rudderless ship, and that nothing will change while Pearson owns the club. If you are as ambitious for the club as you seem how can you want him to stay and preside over what you perceive as an utter shambles? .

That post is from around eight years ago - a lot has improved around the club since then - the coaching hasnt though

I agree, it’s very unlikely.

No it isn't, it's from the year before we broke the Wembley hoodoo and went back to back. You were unequivocal that the club was a complete mess and Pearson being in charge meant nothing would change. I think you are now conceding that was wrong because you think he has improved a lot of things. Do you still want Koukash to replace him?

Dont get the negativity towards Adam Pearson
As you say though he has been too loyal to Radford despite some horrific performances and results over the last two seasons.
Some will point to injuries but Peter Gentle was sacked despite having fourteen players unavailable at one stage due to injury.'"
That’s true about PG but AP had Radford chirping in his ear saying he could do better with the same squad.

The point here is that you were unequivocal that Pearson could never make any improvements, which you have now conceded was wrong. Maybe your brutal condemnation of Radford, which, after all, is the subject of this thread, is similarly over negative.
On the Hetherington point, of course I was supportive. But for the Gateshead merger and her shareholding we would have gone out of business. With no apparent alternative ownership, and a Challenge Cup and GF, perhaps that tenure wasn't so bleak. I did write to James Rule about Agar. But then again he's working wonders at Leeds.
Back on topic, I'd be surprised if Radford was replaced this year even if results continue to be mixed. The quality of coaching in SL currently isn't that great IMO. If we hired a Lam equivalent for example I think people would be underwhelmed.

| Yep the only thing that really surprises me under radders in last few seasons is our ability to mentally not turn up ..ie 45 to nil at magic x2 with saints and huddo . And now we still have the mental breakdowns after 50 mins. The cats game and wakey would have been put away by a strong mental team. I thought radders would be like wane and have a no messing about culture but mental resilience has let us down, and this i find surprising from a man of radders character and stature as a coach.
I want radders to succeed and get us to GF - we know it's the target this season from all the interviews. I don't think Pearson could have backed rads better through some bad years but he must have 2nd thoughts if we are not strong top 4 at end of year with this squad investment ( and coaching salaries up!) . Its not a disaster so far as lost to 3 very strong teams but the Wakey one was concerning !!!. The stats of 9 wins in last 26 games at home is not good enough in any circumstances, but lets give the squad chance to gel - lot of new faces not quite at 100% together yet . I reckon cats , saints and wigan could be in top 4 with us. if cats keep their heads strait it could be their year with squad macca has.

You mention Wane and his no messing about culture, but didn't his Wigan team concede 60 points, for two seasons running, against Wakefield?
It's the nature of the beast, that is Super League now. Finishing top of the league is not the main priority these days, so some games are gonna be blow-outs. If the main aim was to finish top of the league to be the champions, you'd suddenly see teams having a lot less injuries,. Most teams in this league are inconsistent now, St Helens was a one off last season, they've already lost 2 from 5 this season.

Personally I don't give a flying fornication about other teams, we have thrown TWO significant leads away. THAT is simple truth.

We've also put, 24 and 20, unanswered points on those teams. That's also a simple truth. We had to do well enough in the first place to get those leads, for us to throw them away. But who cares when we do positive things? It's best to ignore them, It's much more satisfying to moan about the negative things.

Super league is just a poor standard, was hoping for improvement this year with teams making what looked like decent signings, but it’s still as pedestrian and lacking in quality as the last couple of seasons, if this is what we are to expect as you suggest, then it’s a very sad state of affairs. Role on the start of the NRL , I still haven’t seen a better game than the warm up all stars game, in 6 rounds of sl. No wonder sky are thinking of pulling the plug, last few seasons sl games on sky have been very very poor

| £20 to a charity of your choice if Sky pull the plug. And £20 to a charity of mine if we get a new deal.
Absolutely Zero chance sky are pulling the plug. They don't care about quality, they care about number of eyeballs watching and although slightly down it is still realistically pretty similar to recent years when we have got sky deals
