| Going off topic here, but in his book Long says Hull offered "...the best package by far".
Anyway Agar - he seems very popular with the players. It's their chance to prove it tomorrow.

| Absolutely speechless at this decision.
Since Agar took over Sharp's position, we have not seen one iota of any improvement from the team's performances.
The board must be watching a different game, from what I see.
We had Brian Smith, who didnt sign international class players, and he transformed players like Karl Harrison, Lee Jackson,Paul Eastwood into international players,we had a side that had a great team ethic.
We should be challenging Leeds and St Helens, but the only two teams who are challenging them IMHO, are Wigan and Huddersfield.- we are way behind Wigan and Huddersfield.
We play as individuals, not as a team.
Many people bought a season pass and thought, we would play a better attractive style, with the new players especially Long.
We are close to the cap now, Agar will have little room to manoeuvre in the off season
Very interesting in the close season, how the season passes will sell.
A very sad day, and a contract extension, that is beyond comprehension.

| I don't like saying this but...........
What is done is done. We have all got our opinion but we ain't now got a choice but to support the team. It's going to be tough no doubt but at least we care and we must try and get behind FC. That's who we support, and we simply have to get behind them. Let's hope Agar's new contract came with a lobotomy.
Come on boys, show us some stuff tomorrow. Lets have it big time against that disease from the east.

| For me Hull FC announced to the rugby league world pretty much what us fans feared. We are a small club ran by small club mentality. Big clubs simply do not accept 'adequate' as a means of moving forward. Sure they have baron spells. Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool have all gone periods were they do not reach 'their' heights. Wigan in rugby have also had, for them, a baron spell. But these clubs approach by throwing the best at the situation. If this doesnt work then, they simply try to throw even better at it. Take Wigan for example. After super league year 1 they have seen Bradford, Saints and Leeds dominate the honours. Do they put a 'promising young british coach' at the helm? No - they bring in Brian Noble with proven success. They pay huge transfer fees in Fielden, Gleeson etc to strive to do better. Overseas quotas are filled by the likes of Trent Barrett Lueleli, Roberts, Richards, Tim Smith. True this didn't work for them, but they also could have stuck with 'edge of playoffs' and remained with Noble. No - they see it isnt working and again change. This season is testament (so far) to their attitude.
Ourselves. We have James Rule who says we have 'The best fans, best ground, best license and a profitable club' - Unfortunately with small club attitude. Every chairman in every sports league will spout the same line. Simple reason - if you come out and say 'we're crap' - you lose fans and eventually your job. However name 1 successful club that employs a 'promising young coach?? (Fergie, Wenger, Benitez, McClennon, Millward??) - reason being - they dont have time for young coaches to learn their art. They allow these coaches to cut their teeth with the lower and mid table teams( such as Mick Potter) and when proven, then employ. Hull FC mean while have opted to stick with Rich Agar. unproven, unsuccessful but cheap - easy. Fans will keep paying, course we will. we're loyal. Throw some big names at us - Long, Fitzgibbon, O'Meley - and we'll ride the wave of eupthoria until reality hits. Long was released by 'a big club' - no other top side wanted him. Why - because he's past his best. He's now a player for a mid table or lower end team. Sadly so is Fitz (although still looking good so far). These season the rain has helped us. In boggy conditions we've ill-coached battered our way down the middle. In anything remotely dry - we've lost to last years lowest 2 - Oh and been trounced by Wigan. Grounds will soon by drying more and our slow play the ball and inability to attack at pace will be exploited. Once again we'll find ourselves battling with the Wakefields, Cas and Harlequins. Our board will be happy - our fans not. We'll sign some aging centre (is Steve Renouf available) and Eupthoria will return. Meanwhile Leeds, Saints, Wigan, Warrington and Bradford will battle for the trophies. And Martin O'Neill will tell every Villa fan next year is the one when they break the big 4 - While United Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool spend another 60 million to remain ontop.
Rant over!!!

Man, I've been watching the club for too many years to waste my energy on asking for coaches to be sacked, boards to be sacked etc. I find that, if banging your head on a brick wall is hurting your head, it's best to stop banging it.
Having said that, I genuinely think it's too early to be judging the current set-up. We're not languishing at the bottom, we're in a spot that many one here said they would be happy with at the end of the season so what's the rush?

Indeed, no rush to sack, or SIGN, which is what most are saying.
You just seem to support whatever the club do, regardless and without question.

I support the team whatever the club do, which isn't quite the same thing... and until Agar is gone, he is part of that team too.
What I do know is that when all of these players and coaching staff are gone, if I'm spared, I'll still be there every week pulling my hair out with the rest of you. Every now and then we're lucky enough to go to Wembley or OT (some fans have never seen their team there) and pull our hair out there instead.

If I'm copying you it's accidental so either we think the same or I am you and you claim my 5 pounds.
