That's an odd attitude. I don't like to see anyone out of work either, but if they're not cut out for the job they're supposed to be doing they have to go.

On this we can certainly agree.

| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "All I will say on the matter is that whilst the club and team isn't in the dreadful state that some of you claim, for this club to a regular top 4 outfit Agar has to go. I'd be fairly happy for him to stay as a number 2 but I doubt he would accept it anyway. At the moment we are without doubt a playoff team IMO, but I could never see us making a mark on them.
However I've never been one to call for a coaches sacking and I will not start now, purely because at the end of the day Rich is a nice guy and I don't like to see anyone out of work. If we are still scratching around outside the 8 halfway through the season the board has to take action IMO, but even then he will go with my thanks because for all his flaws I do believe he has the best intentions of the club at heart. Some of the personal insults levelled at him are childish at best.'"
Noone is arguing with you. But at the end of the day, if you don't perform then you have to go. I genuinely believe Agar is respected in the sport, but his time at FC must be coming to a close.

| Can we get Noble as a consultant? Maybe for 4 games? Would this be a benefit? Would the board and coaching staff listen to Noble?

| While I agree that Agar is not the man for the job, the players must take some responsibility for our dismal start.
They need to address many of the on field issues. Players are well paid and fanatically supported so whatever they feel about the Coach , they should perform to the best of their ability.
Agar is not dropping passes, defending like wet tissue paper and giving away stupid penalties.
It`s time for the players of Hull FC to perform , starting Sunday!

| Quote: Kosh "That's the second time you've referred to the club having people posting on here. Care to name any names?
And in any case I think that the situation has gone well beyond being able to be handled by media management, although I guess that will be the first tactic attempted.'"
The club has attempted on several occasions to " censor " threads by using the mods one here, yes I have was approached on more then one occassion. That was before the banned any of there staff using this site, I used to know many of the backroom staff at one timen and there user IDs . Some have posted some good info on the site over the years, no doubt the same is still happening. Jimmy Rule gets a regular update on posting on this site.
Also some very staunch [iAgarites [/ihave absent in the last ten days and that is a little suprising.

I'm surprised and disappointed that the club would attempt to influence what gets posted on here beyond responding to potential libel etc. To the best of my knowledge there have been no such attempts since I became a mod.
I'm not sure that anything can be read into some people who support Agar not being around much. They're probably as depressed or more so as anyone else and aware that they'd be in for some flak.

| I've been to 100's of Hull games and never experienced an atmosphere like Friday. It was as if everyone in the ground has just lost interest. Very worrying IMO
I also don't think they'll sack him this season as it will cost them too much in paying him off

Wilf said in the diary that Kath was criticising football clubs in the matchday programme for getting rid of coaches a couple of games into the season. Pretty clear statement of intent I think.

how will it cost us too much, everyone keeps saying he's cheap to employ, even if he has this and next season on contract. The real cost is attendaces dwindling etc if the same rubbish keep being served up on the pitch. Also, to employ Noble must be twice what Agar is getting paid, simply because of what he's won in his time as head coach of Bradford.

We could always start a bucket collection
I recon the cost of keeping him, will be much greater then paying him off.
