He was right in the end: |
|
| At least when Crooks, Schoey, Jackson, Dannatt and Vaikona were sold the club said "we are skint and these need to be sold"

I agree, and this is something Radford has got right, it has needed doing for years.
Happy to see him released personally, he is never going to be the player it was thought he could be.
What are the outstanding facets of his game? He takes it to the line and links play well but I can't think of anything else he is particularly good at. He lacks any real power or mobility. He certainly works hard albeit with a few crucial defensive errors.
But for probably half the price, Danny Washbrook can work hard, and if he is dropped he won't throw his toys out of the pram and ring up his agent telling him to get him a new club (ref: Leeds away).

| Quote: Jake the Peg "Seems fairly certain that we're happy to cash in on any saleable british talent we have, trouser the cash and use the salary cap to bring in overseas players. I'd expect this to continue whilst pearson owns the club and we remain a team fighting for 8th place each year. He's clearly bitten off more than he can chew with the club and completely misread the situation and the clubs' fans. The best case scenario in the short term is he can get a wealthy fan on board to at least prop us up, worst case is we continue to sell our best players and end up playing championship rugby in an empty stadium.'"

| Like others have said, he's definitely going and this has come from someone I know who spoke to Lineham over the last couple of days.
Warrington bound.

| So many on here apparently watch games with their eyes closed. Or filters for certain players.
Lineham and Westy in one season, eh? What was that about not being a selling club again, Adam?

They're both rubbish and we're just clearing out the deadwood.

| Well, almost a week after Westerman shook hands on a deal with Warrington, Adam has seemingly still managed to keep news of the signing embargoed.
Is it simply because he wants a few more desperate hours of being able to flog memberships on a "no squad is stronger" ticket whilst flicking V's with the fans?
Or does he need more time to work out how he is going to explain this one away, given the vehemence of his and Motu's recent denials and rebuttals?
Perhaps he will announce the signing of Tom Biggs once again to cushion the blow?
How and when he breaks the news will not alter the (ever growing) perception that Adam Pearson says one thing in public, yet does another in private!

Personally don't understand why he needs to behave like this, don't think Westerman been sold for a decent fee, would affect pass sales. The way hes done it, is more likely to

Don't know, but perhaps it's because, as is said above, hands have been shaken, but signatures have not yet been signed. Just a thought.
I agree by the way, I don't think pass sales would be affected.

You really have it in for Pearson don't you, unfortunately for you, unless a million backer can be found in Hull, he is here to stay.
I actually agree with Pearson and think we have the strongest squad on paper since 2006, even if Westerman is sold.

As we all know, except AP, the game isnt played on paper.
I agree with the potential sale, from a financial point of view,
to let a player of his calibre, leave on a free, is not good business sense.
AP shouldve never sanctioned the early termination of various players contracts(circa 500k??), I can only think of one owner (Koukash),who has previously gone down this road.
This is one of the reasons why,our financial outlook is looking not so healthy.. -IMO
