Yes. They finished above us in the last two seasons because (some of) our players weren't good enough. We have got rid of some of those who weren't good enough, hence our improved showing this year. Hopefully, others who aren't quite top 4 material will be replaced at the end of this season and we can improve again next year..

Its not a dig mate but i find it ironic that a Hull FC fan can turn around and say that Craig Hall is not fit for Hull FC but may be suitable for such teams as the Quins or Wakefield yet both those teams have finished higher than you for 2 consistent seasons.
I also find the Irony that he has scored 8 try's this season for you which is more than any one else apart from Briscoe amusing, do you believe that most NL1 players would have scored 8 try's in your team or is Hall punching above his weight?
The biggest Irony is that because you are now in a top 4 position you are once again a top 4 team yet when Rovers finished in the top 4 they actually came 8th (according to you lot).
Lets face it even 8th (at this moment) would be a step up for any Hull FC player from that point of view due to the last 2 years positions AT THE END OF THE SEASON.

I'm aware of the difference between the letter of the rules and what happens in the real world, but given the history of bad blood at board level between Hull and Rovers over the past few years I would be amazed if Hudgell has been foolish enough to talk to Craig or his agent without permission. If he has then it would be like giving Rule a stick to beat him with and most Hull fans would expect Rule to do just that.

This why I make the distinction between agreeing a deal and signing one. Rule wouldn't go out on a limb because he's heard there has been contact. He needs an innappropriately signed contract or to go all gumshoe and follow Craig and his representatives everywhere with a dictaphone and camera. You'd hope he's got better things to do - speaking to agents for example.

I very clearly, and deliberately, referred to Hull FC as a team with top 4 aspirations. We are not yet a top 4 side, and I think we're unlikely to be this season. If we strengthen our squad in the off season, we might be next year.
