| Quote: A unknown superstar "I don't think we have a pick of half backs who are coming through the ranks tha wil be good enough. I was told the other day that we have let Rich Wikinson go and he's returned to West Hull.
As for Harry Tyson-Wilson, the kid is brilliant. I've mentioned his kicking game before and for his age group it's second to none. Also he really knows how to take control of the game.'"
Is that a reflection on the current game, too much structure, too many set moves, stifling invention and creativity, kids being too scared to make a mistake and just doing as coached?

| Quote: Mrs Barista "So...
I think we need some honest communications from AP about rationale for recruitment of both new coach and players, realistic targets for 2014, how near the cap we'll be, and to share more information about the academy - apparently more are going full time, how we're already seeing the benefits. I don't really mean a website article either, either a fans forum or full on interview.
'"
I think there should be a forum this side of Christmas, but please lets have one on Radio Humberside not a love-in run by the club/FC Voices and presented by Clarky that can only be viewed online by people who cannot make it.
That's not a slight against FC Voices or Clarky, but when was the last time we had a forum broadcast on the radio?

| Des Hasler. We need to push the boat so far off the shore this time and get a big fish.

That would be a serious statement of intent, but would he come?

That's that then!
Is there anyone that would be genuinely happy with Radford, Last and Crooke? (other than KR fans)

You honestly think he'd leave Canterbury to come to Hull?

| Regarding recruiting a proven top coach, everyone has their price.
IF Pearson doubled the coach's salary, for example, at least the coach would consider it.
At the end of the day, its a job - any head would be turned by a lucrative offer

| What we need to do next is not take Radford and Cooke as coaches. Although im warming to Cooke a little more these days I do not want him anywhere near the club and as for Radford as coach well have people not learned from whats happened over the last seven years?
Were very much limited in playing personel now but coach is one area where, as a club, you can push the boat out and Pearson needs to make a statement of intent. Without it we'll be lucky to get in the eight next year though even with a new coach that may still be hard with Gentles appauling signings which are possibly even worse than Sharps imo

| With the right coach, the players we have available should be good enough for top 6 and should be pushing for the top 4. With a bit more consistency we would have finished top 4 this season. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water but an inexperienced coach will struggle IMO

I don't believe everyone does have a price.
Coaches like Bellemy, Bennett, Hasler are set up for life.
And doubling their salaries would be more than our cap.

This. I know the temptation after Wembley and Thursday night is to bin off the majority of the squad, but we really weren't that far off finishing higher in the league this year.
Of course, if we end up with Radford then all bets are off.

Good grief I find myself agreeing with you here Standee. How FC ,and the game in general , needs a Mick Crane

Players like Brough, Chase and Tomkins are good, but they are not as "great" as they are made out to be, they are just inventive, it's getting to a stage where RL at the top level is as boring as chess to watch.
