| Quote BESTY="BESTY"Des Drummond on Eric Grothe at Boothferry park in 1982, came across from the opposite wing at full tilt and basically kicked, punched and head butted him all at the same time sending him into the advertising boards.'"
Des Drummond... now that was one hard hard man!!
Greatest hit I ever saw was the opening tackle against Wigan at Wembley by Fred Ahkoi on Shaun Edwards , He didnt tackle him he ran through him!!
and unbelievably Edwards got straight up and played the ball.. tough kid
Also remember Keith Tindall in his day stopped a few smart s in their tracks too

| Quote B0NES="B0NES"The first game Dannatt played at the Boulevard for Saints.
If he'd have offloaded the ball , Saints would have walked in for a try . I think there was about 8 Hull players involved in that tackle at the last count.
'"
Remember it well!! I think he was hit bby about six punches from different folk all at the same time...

| Didn't Maea David snap a Wigan player's femur in a tackle? That takes some doing - it's quite a solid bone.
Barnett was my favourite all time big-hit merchant. I would not have liked to have been playing opposite him and receiving a long pass.

and up to that point, Deacon was playing the best rugby I've seen him play - particularly for GB.
