What are you trying to say? The Bevan French deal is dead in the water?

Some good points….we are a hard sell atm due to being gash for the last 4/5 years and maybe that’s why we had to offer marquee to Asiata and 3 yr to Chamberlain and the other signings are ones that was left but will improve us (not hard to atm).As for Myler,I personally think that he has done a bloody good job seeing he inherited a absolute $hit show and was it you who mentioned how bad we was in the warm up game, the one signing that is iffy is Hardacker,I wouldn’t have touched him but if he stays out of bother off the pitch and produces it on it then il eat humble pie.

Hull is always a tough sell at the best of times. It's out on a limb and is hardly the most glamorous of cities. Throw in our current plight and it's going to near impossible to attract quality players without paying massively over the odds.

| As others have said the two quota signings we sign need to be box office. Yes our squad needs some quality, but more importantly we need something to excite the fans who are in two minds about renewing passes. I don't think our recruitment has been terrible. I can see what we are trying to do. However, Asiata aside, they don't grab you. Two more "astute" signings won't really cut it.

I think we all would but the problem with Laifai is he is under contract, so him signing would mean that Salford release him, which they might as they have Mcdonald and Marsters next season, but they may want him to stay.
Not sure where these Opacic and Drinkwater rumours have come too, but hopefully there's nothing in it.
Our coach next season is currently in the NRL, if he can't find us a fringe NRL half and centre that would improve us then it's a worry.

| I wonder if the number of recent overseas signings that we've released early (Evans, Reynolds, Okunbor, Pele, Hoy and Brown - and maybe some others I've forgot) has an impact on overseas players coming over here? Players might worry it won't provide them with the 2-3 year security they want if there's a chance they could be released after a year

Maybe, although some might see it as a positive, under performance get paid off etc. Pele and Ockunbor have fallen on their feet, probably financially better off short term.

For me it shouldn't have any impact in regards to overseas signings, though if does influence a player then they clearly do not have the right attitude, professionalism or work ethic.

| Well at least Jed Cartwright loves it here and is planning to stay for a long time. Lets hope he tells he mates back in Oz how great playing for Hull FC is!

| I hope the Opacic and drinkwatwr rumour hasn't snowballed from me
I asked a question the other day...maybe week about if Opacic were to be released by KR with Martin supposed to be signing for them, what would people think about signing him.
The Drinkwater was just a article I shared about several potential options (not my options)
I don't even think they're rumours, maybe just someone misread or something
