| Is Grix taking the pl$$!? What about every other club?
[iAsked about the no relegation factor and how it's impacting his players, Grix replied: "Maybe that's part of the problem, not having that jeopardy. I know a lot of fans would like it (Super League promotion and relegation) but we all signed up to something different, didn't we? That's really fortunate for us at the moment otherwise we are having those chats about your job being on the line properly."[/i
Granted a few have gone but they should have been having those conversations all season!!!

I am despondent about saturday, of course. But my point was misery doesnt progress a club that needs help Of course im unhappy about performances but just moaning is not the answer. Imagine if Grix went in to a big sulk and said do what you want till the end of the season. I am still hopeful about a new coach and signings for next season. Sharing misery which i rarely do is compounding it. its understandable just no use whatsoever

| Well that was a show
Watching it, from behind my pillow because it was such a horror show. How has AP let it get this bad?
Is it (like some have said) he's just ran out of money?
Is it (like others have said) he's used the no relegation situation to skimp out this year to consolidate the finances? And over the last few seasons, cut back due to the COVID loan?
Or did he really think he was getting quality players?
Whatever or whichever it is, I think it's fair to say most and I mean a large percentage of fans have had enough now.
Let's hope we do have someone coming in to pump some serious money into the club, we need it.
All that being said , well don't to London, deserved the win,.much better than us (as I've said a few times,.we have been by far the worst side in the comp this year). What's worrying more so is, if London played like they did, against any other side in the league, they lost...yet they played us and won!

Apart from Ese-ese I'm struggling to pick who out of our current team would make that 17.

Nothing Wigan can do to us, that'll be worse then us being bottom of the league and lost, and lost comfortably by London.

Good call. He was at his peak and one of the best centre's in SL at the time and was rightly awarded a long contract. Unfortunately through no fault of his own injuries decimated he career. This is likely to be his last year but he should be remembered as a stand out quality player in his prime.

Not so sure. The record book might need updating at the end of the game. Another game to watch behind the settee that's for certain.

| Quote tommyfromhull="tommyfromhull"I’m still not convinced you can prevent a lot of injuries. Ruptured muscles and tendons, ligament damage, head knocks, broken fingers and shoulders etc are all very hard to prevent. S and C and fitness can help muscle strength and flexibility, but I do think we’ve just have incredibly bad luck with players and their fitness in recent years - as well as probably signing players with underlying injury issues in Trueman and Walker for example.
It really has been a perfect storm for us.'"
Luck plays a part but you only have to look at HKRs lack of injuries to see it does make a difference when you have competent backroom staff.
Whilst at HKR it was documented that they were working with Walker on certain leg muscle areas which seemed to work as the only matches he missed were for HIA

Just because things aren’t documented doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. You don’t go from being fit with one club one season to getting injured the next season with another team just because they don’t have a comparable physio team. Recovery, maybe, but actual injuries are hard to avoid.
Yes we’re lacking in the back room staff, but I still stand by the fact we’ve been very unlucky with injuries. 16/17 (not to dwell) we didn’t have many significant injuries. Saints across their recent success didn’t have huge amount of injuries.
The bigger issue is the quality of our squad. When we have injuries we don’t have quality to back it up. Top teams do.
