I sent craig a message on facebook and not only did he give me a full update on his contract status he also said he'd love to here from all fans as he's more than happy to notify on all aspects of his life.

When he told the other players at training they all thought it was a great idea and they urge us all to drop them a line!

On another note Mark Fewings is getting bored with writing his own letters to 'Fire off at Fewey' and would like everyones opinion!

I have defended Hall over the last 2 seasons and still regard him as one of our better options for a strike player. His defence is poor (jumping out of line, slipping of tackles) though and this is a major problem for craig and our club. As our club at times seem to struggle bringing on youth players and developin their skills and reducing their weaknesses (with the exemption of Houghton who seems to have come on over the last month or so with an extended run) maybe a change of club would help craig kick on at last. Dont think he would become a regular first team player at KR which he needs. celts, wakey, quins lots better for craig who could make a position his own and get plenty of game time. I do think his attackin skills will come back to haunt us when he leaves at some point. I HAVE FORESEEN IT

Note to bigcjlchris: if anyone expresses an opinion about Craig Hall that's not entirely positive, you don't have to get all wound up and aggressive. They are not attacking 'your friend' personally, they are expressing an opinion about a player at the RL club they support. I'm sure Hall realises that, as a professional sportsman, he will be the subject of discussions amongst fans, and that some of those discussions may include negative opinions. He doesn't need you to jump to his defence like a knight in shining armour every time it happens.

Why can he not defend someone as much as those slating him as your arguement suggest. The poster may well be GH himself or a family member or just a friend as stated but his opinion is just as valid as everyones.
Hall will most likely sign for us and i for one cant wait to have a player who with ball in hand gets the fans excited.
We all know that if the headline was Graig Hall joins Celtic then you would bewishing him all the best, stating his best times in the shirt and how Agar was never able to use him properly as he is an inept coach just as fans did when he went out on loan only to come back and score 7 try's.
However the headline is Hall To Join Rovers and now Hall is defensively inept and at best a top NL1 Player.

I'm not saying his opinion about Hall as a player isn't valid (though you could argue it's hardly objective). What I'm saying is, there's no need to get quite so aggressive with people for saying they don't rate him. They're expressing an opinion about Craig Hall the player, not Craig Hall the person. Just as the multitudes of England fans who call Emile Heskey a donkey are.

Can't wait? You don't need to. We've had him for four seasons.

We don't 'all know' anything of the sort. For a start, I'd wish him all the best wherever he was going. Secondly, I'd think he was defensively inept wherever he was going. My considered opinion is that he would make a top championship player, and that he will struggle to make it as a SL player (though he may find his level at somewhere like Quins or Wakey). We all know he can score tries at one end, but he's just as adept at conceding them at the other end. For that reason, I don't think he's a SL player - or at least not one that's suited to a club with top 4 aspirations.

Can I just try to help out by pointing out the difference between agreeing a contract and signing one (must resist icon_wink.gif ).
I've no idea whether some sort of agreement in principle might have been made, but he is rather unlikely to have signed yet, even if it were. Anyway, my point is you could both be right.
My feeling is probably not - we just don't have many squad spots left. But if Colbon leaves or we don't sign anybody from the NRL, or there is a surprise departure, it's possible.

There isn't any difference. Other clubs are not allowed to even talk to contracted players (much less agree anything "in principle"icon_wink.gif before September unless the club holding the player's registration gives permission. It may be the case that Hull have made Craig an offer and he has said he will not accept it and Hull have said he can talk to other clubs.

Personally I'm not too bothered if he goes or where he goes. The lad has to put himself and his career first and good luck to him and thanks for his contribution over the last four years.

Is that the same Wakey or Quins that have finished above you in the last 2 seasons to join a team who have actually finished in the top 4 in Rovers SL time?

I mean informally. Should and is are different. I've driven on the motorway and been overtaken while doing 70mph, for example.
The idea that agents spend 11 months of the year in professional purdah is ludicrous. As you say, if Hull have given written permission to Hall, he could have signed. If not, he won't have. I don't want to risk continuing down that line, so here is Peter Smith, of the YEPhttps://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/rlcolumnists/PETER-SMITH-Now39s-the-time.5504843.jprl

Yes. They finished above us in the last two seasons because (some of) our players weren't good enough. We have got rid of some of those who weren't good enough, hence our improved showing this year. Hopefully, others who aren't quite top 4 material will be replaced at the end of this season and we can improve again next year..

Its not a dig mate but i find it ironic that a Hull FC fan can turn around and say that Craig Hall is not fit for Hull FC but may be suitable for such teams as the Quins or Wakefield yet both those teams have finished higher than you for 2 consistent seasons.
I also find the Irony that he has scored 8 try's this season for you which is more than any one else apart from Briscoe amusing, do you believe that most NL1 players would have scored 8 try's in your team or is Hall punching above his weight?
The biggest Irony is that because you are now in a top 4 position you are once again a top 4 team yet when Rovers finished in the top 4 they actually came 8th (according to you lot).
Lets face it even 8th (at this moment) would be a step up for any Hull FC player from that point of view due to the last 2 years positions AT THE END OF THE SEASON.
