Taxi for Wellens
Certainly got to be a Coach under pressure, they look void of any idea.

| Agreed and totally ignored the Saints player being tugged back for the no-try just before at the other end.

could've done with a Saints win, although they would've gone above us, it would keep Warrington pegged back, one of Catalan or Wakey win saturday, its going to be a tight top 8!

I can see Sailor coming good when Saints inevitably sack Wellens. Theyre just an awful attacking team and if they get somebody who can coach a bit of shape and structure into them then Sailor could still shine in this league. But yes, at the moment he looks worlds apart from the player Saints fans thought (or maybe just hoped) they were getting.

Still likely to be 4th after this round so a good result for us

| I agree we dodged a bullet with Sailor. He doesn't look creative enough at half back for me and welsby isn't a half back either. Was it sezer we'd have missed out on if we'd signed him? I doubt we'd have won half the games we have if we'd had sailor instead of sezer

| Watching the game closely personally I think with Sailor it's about systems structure and thus coaching. Who knows what he would have been like under Carty? For me watching Saint last night the difference from them in the first round to now is exactly 'nothing' as they looked confused and disorganised as they did back then. Remember how underwhelmed some were on here about Seizer when he signed (and on what I had seen on his past form in Super League I was concerned myself) but the strength of our current squad is the structures they have been indoctrinated into, they buy into it and understand it, (from Academy to the senior citizen players) and when times are tough they stick to it. Our lot at present play for the coach and his structure and thus each other. If you go to training one of the only thing Cartwright majors on is sticking to the system whilst still expressing yourself. Saint might have a great plan on paper and some good players but they aint buying into it and following it and that's down to the coach. Old boys promoted rarely works out with too many previous allegencies. Its interesting isn't it how imported coaches are doing so well in Super League whilst at Cas, the Giants, Saints and perhaps now Salford, British coaches and promoted ex players club's are struggling, whilst those who bring the NRL mentality and professionalism into our game are doing well. For me, Wellens could be the first coach to go with Brown and McGuire not far behind.
