I think more concerning was the club thinking of using our two quota spots on a second tier full back and nine when we dont really need them and we are crying our for a Halfback,centre and front row/second row

Lots of quota players start on the bench, Parcell for example as well as lots of forwards. Doesn't really matter these days, both hookers will play around 40 mins.

I think he start as he is more steady than Balmforth who offers better impact off the bench.

I think would could have signed Reynolds to do a similar job and use a quota spot, but Cartwright and Myler think he can offer something more.

Myler had to do some emergency repair work to the squad and until more injuries, bans and head knocks we had improved. Dont know for certain why we have raided Leigh so much but they started to spend big 3 years ago and that means a lot of their squad are coming to the end of their deals. So with it now all but confirmed that Lam won’t be joining, it’s back to the drawing board. We either go down the route of looking for an all out half back quota, with Cust at 9. Or a specialist hooker quota, with Cust at 6.

No idea who it could be, Jake Granville voiced his desire to play in SL this week. You would hope Myler would’ve kept options open, we shall see what comes next.
