It may not be something that is on the pitch, it could be at training, in rehab, on the WhatsApp group for the players - 'leaders' like Tag, Griffin etc. Someone has come out saying Taylor was open with everyone at Beverley RL that he hated Hodgson - if that comes out amongst the group, then it can affect everything'"
It would seem there is an element within the team that seem to want to call the shots and run the rule over the playing squad which is there for all to see. BH has to be tough enough to make a stand and drop these players completely regardless of injuries & suspensions etc.
Still selecting these players just continues to breed the negative aspects within the playing group and will continue to be the downfall of the club until this issue is addressed once and for all.

Tag and Griffin should be nowhere near the team at the present time. They bring absolutely nothing to the team's performances and should be on their way as soon as possible, joined by lots of the others.

Easier said than done to make a big overhaul, not a great market and already getting rid of a fair few, also who would sign either of these right now.

We'd have to pay them off or get someone to take on their full salary.
If Griffin could be tempted with a 2 year deal somewhere else he might go, but we'll be stuck with Taylor....

I agree with you we are stuck with Taylor and when Griffin has played every team has targeted him because of his poor defence so i cant see any S/L club offering Griffin a contract. The club may have to try and send him out on loan to a Championship club which is his level now.

He might not want to drop a level. Plus which Championship club will pay his wages in full? We don't want to be stuck in the situation of having to part pay salaries for players who aren't here.

Still hitting the spot with most fans with this I think!

| I agree with everything Dan Tomlinson says there Wilf. However he doesn't attach any blame on Hodgson.
Hodgson cannot be blamed for everything but he is definitely a major part of the problem.
At the very least we should be showing some sign of improvement since Radford/Last were sacked. In my view we haven't. In fact we are getting worse. It's going to take a season or two before we can overhaul the squad bring in quality and instill a new ethos I'm not confident Hodgson can deliver this. There are coaches out there who I believe can do this and a change is needed now before it's to late.

Totally agree, every good coach get some improvement out of the current players, we are no better than the last full season under Radford.
I can't see Hodgson getting sacked though, it took Ragord over 2 years to get us going and I think he will give the same to Hodgson.
I do like Hodgsons recruitment, I like the Hoy and Truemam signing, think Sutcliffe will improve us and hopefully we can add a couple of forwards too.

Like you I think it’s a good read and hopefully it has all come from him. I don’t get the patience thing though. Those of us who have been around and gone around have been very patient. The club seems to go in cycles. Late 50’s-early 60’s a good winning team, it took 20 years for a repeat in the early 80’s, then another drought until the early 2000’s Manna from heaven, 2016-17. Sincerely hope the cycle doesn’t repeat because the core supporters of today are getting older, most are in God’s waiting room and won’t last to see the next cycle. I would be patient to see Hodgson deliver, if I believed he could. I believed in Sharp, Gentle, lost patience with Agar and Radford should have gone 2 seasons before he did but I didn’t call for their heads.
As Rider says, most of us long term supporters will go around again, direct debit and all that but and it’s a MASSIVE BUT, come Autumn when the cost of living hits and Winter fuel prices hit home, its going to severely damage season pass sales. Adam’s nailed his colours to HMS Hodgson’s mast, he did the same with Radford. Personally I’d give Hodgson till the end of the season, if FC finish 9th or frighteningly any lower, he should go.

I'm looking forward to these signings as well Dave. But so far Hodgson's recruitment has included Reynolds, Gale and Evans.

He has definitely made some errors, but seems to have new plan for younger players with a point to prove.
