Think there will be few decent fullbacks in SL next year, the fact that McDonnell is looking like one of the better options is indicative of that. |

McDonnell looks a decent prospect to me, although he looks a bit isolated at Rovers sometimes. Not sure Horney is up to Super League standard any more.

Would it be worthwhile playing McDonnell on the wing (as many on here seem to think Sharp won't be retained) and then have him switch to Fullback if Horne is unavailable to play?
Or would that be unrealistic in terms of salaries?

I agree, he's looked good in patches, but his injury record is poor and I think he is too small to be a top SL prop. |

Exactly my thinking, Paul. Halfback is priority, as the club have said. Specialist fullback a bonus. |
