10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

That's the plan. It's still very early days, but a few of us stepped up to the plate last night in the hope of forming a new committee. We hope to meet soon and bring to the table ideas and opinions.
If that goes well and I still feel that I can have a positive contribution, then I’m in. I don’t see there been any problems, as everyone who I spoke to last night who expressed an interest in been on the committee seemed to have the right attitude and commitment.
The key to this is ensuring we can walk before we run. This may mean several months of seemingly plodding along to people who are not involved, but the people who I spoke to last night realise what a challenge we have in front of us, and we can’t make things magically happen over the space of a few weeks.
Great to put a few faces to name last night as well.

| Well done to everyone who turned up and to Hutchie for chairing it, but I have to say it cos no one else seems to have done. For the amount of hot air and shouting about it that has been going on here, and the amount of publicity the meeting got, a turn out of 32 is pretty pathetic.
If that many people cared that much, there should have at least been 200 people there. Luckily those who did turn up were very positive and devoted fans of the club and a new group of guys who have the commitment and belief and who are willing to make the sacrifices necessary stepped up to the plate and will form a new committee.
Much of the talk was about stopping being negative about Hull FC, and the new group helping the club and being supportive of it, so perhaps it would not have suited a lot on here anyway! It at least proved to me that we have some fantastic supporters who really care about the club.
They have my 100% support and well done to them, and lets hope that the next time they calll a meeting a few more will attend!!
Let the excuses begin!!

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

I'm confused Wilf, two questions:-
Are you saying the people who didn't go are not fantastic supporters?
Why do people need excuses?

It's precisely that type of attitude that puts people off these things mate, people start getting all superior and they they are above the rest of us, pathetic.

| See it just turns into a pathetic squabble.
I had no intention of going last night, but im glad i did, i put my name forward im happy to be an helping hand and make it go forward.
As many say rome wasnt built in a day but there was 8 commited fans who put there thoughts forward and was prepared to put the effort in. Like Wilf said not many turned up but 25% of them was prepared to put the effort in.
Just because you didnt go, it doesnt mean your not a decent fan.
Wilfs point is there's a lot of people criticising our club? And 99% of them had no intention of turning up. I could name a few off here (not that i intend to).
The sole reason for this meeting was to get a commitee together and build on something and thats what all 8 of us have full intentions of doing. We're not here to fight against our club. We're there to work for it, and help the fans.
Its also about sorting fundraising out and fan days out etc.
A lot of positives came out of a very short number of attendees.

No and No. Already it has descended into a squabble! I just think deluded tart that I obviously am that Hutchy and HIsa deserved a bit more support than it got last night thats all.
I just thought that 32 people at a meeting about an organisation that had generated so much debate and strong views on here deserved better than it got. As for being a superior supporter thats just guff I am not better and certainly a lot less committed than many who were there last night, I just think that once again a lot of folks critise our club and want some action but few turn up when they have the opportunity to get involved! Good luck to those who have they will get my full support!

I've been reading this thread with interest and am not surprised that 32 people turmed up.
People just aren't that bothered about HISA or its alternatives apart from a few hardcore fans/posters on here.
If the club was in real danger of dissolving (like last time) it would be different. Most see the bigger picture, good stadium, good crowds, etc its just that we aren't playing very well at the moment.
I don't think for a minute that the idea of a new ISA would have been suggested if we were top of the league.
Good luck with your endeavours, but I think you're chasing a lost cause.

And that at times is the problem with the view of ISA's an ISA is not just been active in the bad times within the life of a club it is about having a positive link and voice into the club for supporters whether that is good or bad times , fund raising , supporters events , linking into and working alongside other supporter splinter groups etc.
As was said last night the club we all love is / has entered a new era and for an ISA to become successful that also has to be a new era .
