Lets put this "silly" Hock rumour to bed now, Wigan have poured cold water on it Hock is going nowhere and never was we have official confirmation from Ian Lenagan himself he is a Wigan player for 5 years, he was hardly going to up sticks after Wigan stuck by him for 2 years, fought to get him back training earlier all because he was offered more money to play for a 2nd rate coach and i'm being kind with 2nd rate and a team (half of which are due to start their pensions sooner than later) thats won nothing for 6 years something that looks unlikely to change anytime soon

I can't believe that it was ever a serious consideration to leave though. A 5 year deal represents a big commitment from Wigan towards him, which will no doubt be represented in a large salary towards the latter end of that contract.

All that anyones heard from Hock is that he couldn't wait to get back in training with the squad, that he felt he owed the club and incredible amount and that he wanted to repay the club for the large amount of support they have shown him over the last 2 years.

Fookme, someone has a chip on their shoulder, bit of sucess after nearly being relegated twice and the egos inflate to epic proportions.

Hock has all the tools to be one of the best forwards in the world.

I could never really see much in the Hock to Hull rumours as the guy has basically commited himself to Wigan months ago and spoke publically about his desire to pull on the Wigan shirt again and pay back the clubs faith in him. He turned down moves to the NRL to stick with Wigan and is very much a home town lad. The rumour just didn't seem to add up from the start.
