He has a pretty good scoring rate and very evasive, under Cunningham he use to come up with errors now under Holbrook he has improved a lot. Is also pretty good on kick returns and running the ball out to help the forwards. Sorry to see him go he could have spat his dummy out when Grace got his shirt, he knuckled down and played well to try and get the shirt back.

Swift is a decent winger who will do a good job for us.

The past is littered with signings for us who have been rubbished on here before pulling on a shirt but gone on to be shrewd or even brilliant additions to the squad.

I don’t think people are saying he’s no good (barring JTP and maybe a couple more) I think it’s more the fact that the money could be better spent in the pack. Than signing a fourth winger. Okay fair enough if Ratu Nalaugo is going but I don’t think he will be. MDJ is decent enough to back up Faraimo and Nalaugo so as it stands didn’t need Swift imo.

The signing is growing on me more than when I first heard about our interest . If we want English , I suppose he’s not the level of Makinson Johnson McGillvary etc , but he’ll be on a lot less money . Pack is priority, so looks like that’s where most of our spare cap is going which is what we all want , so it will be interesting to see who we go with on the wings next season , swift will be one winger !

One thing I do find a bit odd is seeing players wearing shirts of the team they'll be playing for next season. We've seen Swift and Jones in a Hull shirt already.

I'd not be happy to see, for example, Westerman posing in a Cas shirt before his contract with Hull has finished.
