Why is he "out of favour" when you don't know why he's not playing?

He has been named in the 19 for last two games so cant be injured.
I said out of favour.What would you call it?

he's better than Downs and has played more games, he appears to be fit and available, so why is he not playing? Think that's what bonaire is getting at.

I know, but he's suggesting that he's "out of favour", when he may no longer be 100% fit. He's played a lot of games recently, so maybe is being rested for a couple of games. It is a squad game after all, and he's still relatively young.

Saying he is 'better' is subjective. Just because a player A is selected over player B doesn't mean that player B is 'out of favour'.
