| Quote Bombed Out="Bombed Out"What is the point of keeping a squad fresh but finish outside the top 4?
Achieve that objective first then if possible manage the rest.
Names and reputation count for nothing. Your strongest team is your strongest team based on form and team cohesion.
But if you're being pedantic how would you pick a team for the 1st game of a season if not on name and reputation.
Connor and Kelly working equally as well so I'd want to maintain the current balance.
It also shows that if you're playing well you keep your place and no injured player can just waltz back into the first team. Places are earned on merit creating competition and improved individual performances.'"
Yeh I agree with most of that, apart from me been pedantic, obviously 1st game game of the season you go with the big guns.
You talk like im suggesting we throw the game against wakefield to keep the team fresh, I think resting players carrying knocks or are fatigued, especially after the last few weeks busy schedule, and the way players have played when brought in, wouldn't have a negative affect on our performance, and would still result in us getting the points at home to wakefield. Only my opinion of course. Disagree about Snyed to, hes our number 7, and will be unless injured, so no point leaving him on the side lines, get him back in rapid, harsh on connor, but I prefer him in the anyway

| Our structure in attack was poor on Sunday, we're missing Sneyd's game management and long range kicking game. Can't just run at every teams forwards in the belting sun every round. Michaels misses out and Connor goes to centre for me.

| We've missed Sneyds short kicking too. I don't think I've seen a single kick in behind the defence since he's been out. He adds options .
Seems harsh given how well he has played but Connor back to centre for me, plenty of opportunity to get involved from there.

How can you say our structure in attack was poor when we were clearly playing a %ge game of keeping the ball and working Cas down the middle? I'll take "poor attacking structure" all the way to Wembley and Old Trafford if it works like it did against Cas.

He's probably referring to them first 20 mins or so, when we was camped on the cas line, we should of posted more points, and Snyed would of helped with that, hence we took the 2 points at every opportunity in the second half, which turned out to be the correct decision

Like I said, it'll come unstuck. We send everything up the middle then teams tighten up their defensive line. Castleford's backs didn't help out at all and their forwards were left to suffer and give up good yards. Won't work against a better drilled less off-the-cuff team like Leeds. We need tactical advantage not just physical to win trophies, Sneyd has kicked us out of trouble many times.

| Sneyd's 40/20 turned the tide at Wembley, then both tries came from his incredibly accurate bomb kicking. Neither Connor nor Kelly could do that currently.

Think you are doing the coaching staff a diservice to be honest with that. Radford and his team have come up with a plan twice now for nullifying Cas' attacking threat and its worked both times. I've laughed at the Cas fans for saying we are boring and only do 5 drives and a kick, which we don't. What we have done since Radfords early days is learnt from the mistakes made, seen how teams like Leeds and Wigan have played % rugby & played expansive rugby when needed taken that onboard and added it to our game, thats what Cas need to learn like Radford & Hull have done.

Of course - can't say it didn't work when we came away with the win, but we're going to need Sneyd's brains sooner or later.

Don't think thats in question but thought 1-17 on Sunday played exceptionally well so how do you justify dropping anyone unless fatigue or carrying a knock? Connor has certainly taken his change and learnt from his first game early in the season where he admitted he tried to hard to impress. If anything I would leave Connor in and put him with Sneyd and give Kelly a break as he has taken some pretty tough treatment the last few games and a rest may do him good.
Thats said it all depends on how the players perform in training as to who makes the 17 on Friday but what a position to be in as a club dilemas on who you pick or dont.

Sneyds very good at strangling teams and killing them off with smart plays and kicks. Repeat sets etc. Think in that heat the other day his extra smarts and kicking would have turned the screw on cas that bit more and in turn brought more points
