The stage will, if its anything like the last concerts, or the squash, kill off all the grass over about 20% of the pitch.

Dont they put boards down over the surface anyway??

If so, why not lift the current turf up before the concert, stick the boards down and lay the new turf afterwards giving it 10 days to bed in before our quarter final.....

The stage and flooring shouldn't cause too much damage to the grass as it wont be down for long enough unlike when they have had the squash courts on it for a number of days.

Cant see why the KC needs to be relaid so frequently? I understood last time it was due to a disease in the grass that was killing it off.

Following Hull FC's impressive victory in the sixth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, they have been drawn at home against Catalans Dragons in the Quarter-Finals.

The match will take place on the weekend of the 23rd-26th June at the KC Stadium, with the exact date to be confirmed imminently by the club and the Rugby Football League following discussions with broadcast partners.

Every year, pitch renovations take place during the summer months and both clubs are made aware of this in advance, as well as other summer activities taking place at the stadium.

The Managing Director of SMC has spoken to the Chairman of Hull FC and will be working on various option to ensure the pitch is the best it can be during the pitch renovation period.

We look forward to an exciting Challenge Cup Quarter-Final match and seeing Hull FC progress into the next round.
