Stark is some way off at the moment from what I saw pre season. If we had to put Arundel on the wing (specialist position now as already mentioned) due to injury that would only leave Whiting as a backup centre so things could quickly deteriorate. Must be a very small contract so it's a bit of insurance as much as anything. Can't see McDonnell or Crookes playing again for Hull as it would seem likely we'd be over the cap if they did.

Was surprised yesterday when this was just a rumour. My feeling at the time was that we didn't need another winger with Lineham, Talanoa and Crookes in the squad, Biggs to come, and other players that could be switched to the wing if necessary.

But having read some of the comments from Radford I don't think we'll be seeing Biggs any time soon and I must admit that I was unaware that Crookes was injured. So we only have two fit wingers as things stand and we don't want to be shuffling players around and out of position so early on IMO. Plus Colbon's only been signed on a one year deal. I think it makes sense as a cover option for us.

He was steady when he played for us ran the ball back in well but as Stan said he broke his jaw and was never the same player after that can't understand why you've signed unless your getting rid of someone

No he's not, but Arundle is probably earning a few quid.....and played for Doncaster at weekend on dual registration. Why would we have loads of cash tied up in someone not getting a game? I'm well aware we need cover, but not at his price.

As for Crookes, he will be on a fair whack and yet again will struggle to get a game when all players are fit. In my eyes it's best they get him gone, and have players like Colbon, who needs to prove himself, on not so much money.
