| reading the wigan board, the only reason we kept them close was because they played rubbish! typical wigan arrogance, even worse winners than they are losers!
looking forward to ellis/tickle/holdswoth coming back, we could have a real strong second half of the season and a good shot at the cup!

Whiting made one bad handling error from the scrum but apart from that he was very good again. Gentle alluded to it on the radio afterwards.

Personally i don't think Hall is anything except a finisher, an exceptional one but there is nothing else to his game that makes him stand out, I'd have charnley above Hall myself. Lineham is going to be better, maybe that is why he/she was laughing..or maybe they really think hall is the greatest winger ever and Lineham won't hit the heights..who knows

| well tofua (manly winger not sure on spelling) is the best winger in the nrl at the moment and i would have hall over him any day. The only other winger who i would seriously consider being better than ryan hall is brett morris but i would still think about it before choosing.

No chance is Taufua the best winger in the NRL!

Ellis is a huge attacking threat and is great in defence, he will also attract defenders to him which will give Crooks/Lineham more room.

| If ryan hall had spent the last 6 years on Hull's wing he wouldn't have had one season where he'd have scored 10 or more tries

Very true. He wouldn't be playing as regularly for England either.

Aye. That's why I was laughing. I like Hall. I do. He plays the piano and everything. I prefer him when he's not bleached his hair, though. But as you say, he's naught but a hefty finisher. Lineham will be so, so much more. He'll be greater than Briscoe to boot, and I rate Briscoe far ahead of Hall, when he's on his game (which we all know he's not been recently).
Felt a bit sorry for Briscoe last night. He was desperate for some ball but that wing never gets fed any more. I could almost feel the frustration from him osmosing though the rain into the east stand. Not just the Yeamo factor, ball consistently went right from dummy half.
Funny thing about Briscoe. He always seems to take half a season to find form. Wasn't it a pep talk from McBanana that kick started him last year? Something like "When you start playing for Hull I'll start considering you for England"?

| Briscoe even came up with a try saving tackle on the other side of the field last night. Great player who will be missed
