Was just about to post the same thing - his first couple he wasn't great but since then he's been one of our better forwards, and is one of our top try scorers.
People on here get ideas about a player and nothing they do can change their mind.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| I think people were used to Manu busting through through tackles on our left side, and were expecting much the same from Ellis so just feel underwhelmed by Galea. He has a top work rate and is a very experienced player, I hope whoever replaces him steps up to the mark, would like to see Green given a go.

I've been really surprised by Pitts, wondering why Leeds actually let him go. He seems aggressive, gives everything every game and good in defence. Whether he is a prop, I don't know, but in the back row/13 positions I like him in the team.
Johnson just like Aspy.

| Hello all. First time poster but long time reader of these boards. Hope to make a few friends on here along the way.
Sad news about Galea. Never good to hear of a player injury so here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery. Here's also hoping we see Ellis in action soon.

Johnson doesn't look as big as he did when he first joined Wakey from Saints to me. Seem to remember him having more impact in the tackle but playing less minutes. Think that's actually what we need more atm.

Johnson and Pitts were very poor against KR when playing at the same time - neither big enough for prop. Owned by the might of Tuimavave and Walker.

agreed
It appears not many have noticed that Galea actually makes more yards than most forwards each drive and probably only second to Houghton when it comes to tackles made.
He will be missed.

Does he? Because according to the SL stats page Green, O'Meley, Lynch, Watts, Pitts, Johnson, and Westerman all make more.
He's also behind Lynch and Westerman for tackles made. If you look at tackles per game, he's behind those 2 plus Whiting, Johnson, Tickle, and Watts (with 3 of those typically playing less minutes than him). And in terms of tackles missed as a percentage of overall tackles, he's behind all of those bar Tickle, plus O'Meley as well.
But other than that he's been ace.

But apart from all that he makes more yards and more tackles

I do not like seeing anyone get injured & from what I saw he seemed to 'put his body on the line' yesterday. Overall I thought that he played well. I liked the little 'kick throughs' that he did in the second half & if I recall correctly, one such kick resulted in a try to us.
Whether he is a regular in the starting line-up is another issue.

I always thought he was meant as a backup signing. I think had Ellis not been injured we would have seen a lot less of him by now. Particular once Tickle had returned from injury.
